Kinda like the way most of the world views Vlad the Impaler as purely evil, however most people of Romania view him as a hero for liberating them. That's because the stories keep changing, or leaving parts out, or adding parts into it.

This version with Blaze was the original version, if you didn't know.

This song wasn't written directly about Braveheart, but it was written about Scotland's fight for independence in medival Britain. So that's why this fits.

Although I think there was possibly a bit of influence from the movie for the "Freedom" chorus parts.

Wow. Well...the secret is to use the freshest tomatoes you can find and....

I don't know haha. I guess it's just a combination of being a really big fan of the band and of the movie/show where I take the footage. I have to feel it. I've scrapped a few projects because I wasn't really into it. I have to have a vision of it first, going with the music. That's the only way to keep it interesting. I think I put more effort into these things than most people.

The movie was 1995 and the album was 1998.

Steve Harris of Maiden has said to have drawn some inspiration from this movie as well as "Rob Roy".

He said the song actually began with the sound from the guitar Dave and Janick were playing. It made him think of the hills of Scotland.
