Like William Saroyan I grew up in Ithaca too - I mean Fresno (lol) and I'd love to have a signed original edition of the Human Comedy. . that was the first book I read written by him. I never got to meet Him but I wish I had. I did ride my bike many times through the neighborhood and past his two houses. . yes two houses. In the 60's he had bought two houses side by side and lived primarily in one and used the other for storage. . .I guess like a lot of writers he was quite the pack rat!
Saroyan was amazing and Daring Young Man is his masterpiece. (ok, also Human Comedy)
