Every vote, regardless of for or against whom or what, is a vote in favor of the idea that it is right and good for one group of society to enforce its will upon each and every individual who resists through violence, and to fund itself through theft, also collected at threat of violence.
Do you believe that theft and violence make good foundations for a just society?
After watching "American blackout" it actually confirmed to me the reason i dont vote, then watch "Ron Paul supporters turned away" and "hacking democracy" and "censoring Ron Paul" and many more I believe the elections are rigged
If you don't vote ,what ever country your from, you can't have your say. You can't comment on anything from rubbish collection to what country you politicans want to invade.Vote- at least you stood up to be counted. They still might not listen, but at least you have a right as a voter to air your opinion.
Some people don't know how to vote. They might not know how to operate a voting machine or fill out a voter registration form or ballot. If they feel intimidated, they won't participate. Maybe schools could give kids formal voter training, starting at a very early age. Simulated elections in the classroom, for example, could impress upon kids the value of voting. When kids turn 18, they will already understand how it works, and they may be anxious to finally participate in a real election!
I'm American and I also vote. There are many people who think that voting won't make a difference, so they don't participate. I think there is hope for a younger generation who have been energized by the 2008 Obama primary campaign.
This was a very good piece. I'm american and I don't know why others don't vote. I have voted ever since I was 18. It's just a part of my duty. Even better, it gives me rights to complain. lol.
I have a right to complain without voting, thank you. I don't see anywhere in the 1st amendment that "if you don't vote, this amendment doesn't apply to you." There are many countries where people can't or don't vote, and that does not automatically make them non-citizens, or even that they don't care. I plan on becoming a Doctor of Psychology and make a difference THAT way. Not by putting a check on a piece of paper.
I vote, I vote for God if there is anyone I want thinking for me it's God.
