It did, however, enhance the amateurish bleatings of bands we "thought" were great, like Iron Butterfly or Big Brother (without Janice). For me the Zombies were far more talented than the Beatles, but I guess one is more mainstream than the other.

I discovered the Zombies late in 1995 when I was in Japan and saw a trailer for a movie, the part where this song played there was a teenager in a big washing machine... I'm not sure but I think the film was about how many school kids in Japan commit suicide when they fail exams... "time of the season"

Since that time this song has haunted me, I love this track and like I said it got me into the Zombies. I'll google search now for something.... In another trailer on the same vhs there was this film with samurai literally juggling swords in a fight scene EPIC! I miss Japan.
