at 1:11 shows multi port injection at1:18 it shows that its clearly a v8, "SLS" could stand for supercharged, and knowing AMG it'll be twin superchargers. Since the SL 65 AMG is a 6.0 L V12 with 600+ hp, this'll probably be the germans pumping the same HP from a v8 with less weight to the car and all kinds of new tech.

Also every engine properly build can pass million miles / kilometers. On the list of most durable 10 engines in the automotive history there's no any V8 my friend.

Most durable is 1.8 4cyls Volvo engine passed over 4 million kilometers on stock internals, engine was never opened, ever.

It's not true, quality of engine depends about used material. If they are using some exotic metal alloys and super ultra light composites they are durable and strong.

Top Fuel Dragsters are bunch of happy idiots that fly over 1/4 mile 3-5 secs, what is actually LIFE of this engines. 5 seconds at 6000-8000 hp is not even close to EX-old 1.5 liters V6 and V12 engines from Formula1 turbocharged to over 60psi of boost and powered to near 1500 bhp!!! 1000bhp per liter over 2 hours...

Find me an engine that can endure FULL boost almost over 2h, or 120 mins, or more than 7200 sec what is 100 times bigger pressure on engine than those 6000 bhp only 5 secs. I know that this V8 produce lots of power, MOST because of explosive fuel not displacement or supercharger. They doesnt have compression and they are build only for 1 run. And again you are comparing rocket science to road cars / race cars. Every engine can engure what can endure V8's with proper tuning n building

Yes, they sounds different, bigger displacement, crossplane crank, pushrods, yes it's make different sound than V8 from EU or Japan, with DOHC, flatplane, and finally V8 in Europe is not small as americans think, but it's smaller than 320 CUI. We have V12 with more power and torque and with bigger displacement produce huge power, sometimes near 1000 bhp NATURALLY in race trim with only 400 or 427 (7 liters) CUI. Again why are u comparing 4 cyls vs 8 cys??? Something wrong??
