  • Watching this in 1911 was awesome, hahaha. But thanks for the help!

  • @vietboi904 Ditto. This video is awesome in 1911 mode.

  • Thanks for this!!!!

  • where can i find ISO???

  • Great vid bud, thanks!

  • Hey. I have a macbook pro 13 2.26 GHz. I have bought myself a intel x25-m ssd. I do the exact same thing that you do. But.....when i`m trying to boot from the cd with the SSD firmware i dosn`t start.. Can you tell what I`m doing wrong?

  • I tried to do it my self but I stripped one the screws in the sides they are to hard to get out and now is stock in there, cant install my 80 gb ssd any ideas what to do?

  • @mrblue2012 Next time use the right screwdriver...

  • @mrblue2012 SUCK A cock

  • Man, you're fast with that screwdriver

  • Awesome stuff, going to get myself a Vertex 120GB, only costs 270, this is 400 for another 60 GB.

SSD = Faster Boot and quicker loads on everything.

SSD = better battery life (Though only about 5%)

SSD = Lower heat (Though you can't really tell that either)

SSD = Way less change of failure (it's basically a RAM hard drive)

SSD = Sell your fucking house to buy one

  • @rmbrown09

    2TB HDD ~ 160€

    2TB SSD ~ 4000€

    lets not buy one :D

  • @point6000x just dont buy a tb internal ssd. use an external with fw800 and you'll be fine.

  • @bdodds1985 external ssd? What for?

  • @point6000x no. not my point. my point is there is no point in buying a huge ssd when you can buy external storage and use fw800 or for pc's use usb 3.0. even now they have a set up that uses the thunderbolt port (its expensive as shit) but what i am trying to say keep your internal an ssd with less memory (cheaper) and your external with more memory (hdd) so your not breaking the bank.

  • @bdodds1985 Well im thinking about gettin a 240GB vertex 3 for system + programs and a 1TB spinpoint f4 for data + possibly some USB-drives.

  • Where is OSX now? How do you sopy the HDD files into the SSD?

  • @Bogie3Flare you have to use the disc that came with the computer to reinstall. or buy snow leopard. You can make a backup of the old hard drive and recover after snow leopard is installed.

  • Hi there, how did you manage to update the firmware on a nvidia-based Mac??? according to Intel, this is mission impossible..

  • Do you always have to update the firmware?

  • Any difference in the heating of the SSD versus the HDD ? Cooler or warmer ?

  • SSDs are lower in heat production. But by very small degrees

  • Any battery life and/or speed improvements?

  • Speed improvement is almost guaranteed as long as you go with a good manufacturer, and are ready to spend some cash. the good ones at 32gb start at around 250 dollars. with read/write's of 200mb/s +.

  • how much was it
