The joke is that there actually was a black MacBook for 2-3years. (before the high-end MacBooks got aluminium cases)

It was $200 more expensive than the high-end white MacBook but the only difference was a bigger hard drive and some black paint.

Kind of a rip-off, but I regret not having bought the "BlackBook" back then. Infinitely cooler than the white model. I bet I would have gotten those 200bucks back when selling it.
