I did not say Cam was the "Best" goalie in Canada or the league. But I believe no one would argue that Marty, Lou, and Ward would be a sick choice for tending the nets. Oh and I think it was a combination of the cut and the back that kept Cam out of the running this year.

Fact is the NHL gave walker a 1 game suspension, even though for a similar incident against The Capitals the NHL gave Brashear a six game suspension. Following this the NHL commisioner over turned the Rules and regulations of the NHL and allowed Walker to play in game 7. In the process violating a dozen or so hockey by laws. Walker gets the OT goal, the Canes advance where they will be beat by Pittsburg and Detroit will thrash Chicago, and Boom repeat of last year.

Sad to see the Bruins out in Round 2, & a bitter way to end it; I followed the B's very closely for much of the season & didn't believe it was possible for ANYONE to beat them in the East...then Cam Ward came along & spoiled it all for the B's!:-( But Carolina deserved it all the way. it was tough watching the ducks not being able to get stops in game 7 because I figured they would lose. hard to say who wins out of the penguins vs hurricanes series, it should be good. I do think the red wings will beat the blackhawks though but I would be ok with chicago winning. On the rangers, losing Jagr was a blow but even sadder, we lost the young kid from russia, hope his family is doing ok. The Rangers need to get better offensively, on power plays we didn't always look good.

Fact is the NHL gave walker a 1 game suspension, even though for a similar incident against The Capitals the NHL gave Brashear a six game suspension. Following this the NHL commisioner over turned the Rules and regulations of the NHL and allowed Walker to play in game 7. In the process violating a dozen or so hockey by laws. Walker gets the OT goal, the Canes advance where they will be beat by Pittsburg and Detroit will thrash Chicago, and Boom repeat of last year.

Sad to see the Bruins out in Round 2, & a bitter way to end it; I followed the B's very closely for much of the season & didn't believe it was possible for ANYONE to beat them in the East...then Cam Ward came along & spoiled it all for the B's!:-( But Carolina deserved it all the way. The Bruins will be back, you can bank on that for sure:-)

I also think it was rather ironic that Scott Walker score the OT winner for the 'Canes; it was his 2nd knockout blow delivered to the B's, but this one knocked them out of the playoffs! Y'know what, I wouldn't mind seeing Carolina knock out Pittsburgh in the East Final, since almost everyone wants to see the Pens in the Final again; but they better not overlook the 'Canes yet again, I know I won't this time around...:-)

I find it funny that you talk about good regular season stretches. If you knew the first thing about hockey, you'd understand that it doesn't matter if you went 82-0 and swept your rival in the first round. The only important thing is to hoist the Cup, and the best thing in the east fell way short of it this year. All of those "stretches" were erased by Walker's stick in one second

it was tough watching the ducks not being able to get stops in game 7 because I figured they would lose. hard to say who wins out of the penguins vs hurricanes series, it should be good. I do think the red wings will beat the blackhawks though but I would be ok with chicago winning. On the rangers, losing Jagr was a blow but even sadder, we lost the young kid from russia, hope his family is doing ok. The Rangers need to get better offensively, on power plays we didn't always look good.

My uncle will be happy, he was worried the Canes were going to lose like my Rangers but my Rangers honestly overachieved and were lucky to win 3 games in their series vs the Caps. I can't wait to watch the Canes vs Penguins and Blackhawks vs Red Wings, should be fun to watch! Good job Carolina!

there is a looooooong summer for you bruins fans. I'm not making any excuses about my canes because they "WANTED IT MORE!!!!!!" and they did what they had to do.... just take it like a losers boston... stanley cup is not a NBA championship or NFL crowns, it is much harder to win and it takes a heck of a hard job to do it...
