  • i think it was a knock off pippi longstocking

  • I haven't heard this song in a long time. Brings back a lot of memories.

  • thanks for sharing...i love this song

  • Reminds me of what I am going through now........and then.....

  • I just wish the kids today could see the love and the real people in this cause today it's all fake I believe it's hurting us all young and old

  • Priceless...thanks for posting this...it's Spring 1966 again, at least for 2:47 :-)

  • My all-time favorite Four Season Song. Thank you.

  • I grew up listening to the 4 Seasons, the 1st time I heard Sherry I was 11 yrs old n I havnt stopped playn their records or hearin them on my ipod, either way, listening to their great songs is a way of life for me. Four Seasons 4EVER man.

  • that kid is so lovely, so sweet and innocent, like a little lamb ruminating its grass...i wish it could stay like this forever, along with our youth...

  • @alberthammond18 ummm. 'quite a chew going on! Where's that child's instruction! if she understood that a million people are upon here and were!...I dunno! Double Bubble n Not In Trouble!

  • the lady on the rightt side dancing at :20 ....nice

  • @Daisyno2 .... 0:20 I think that it was a little early in the history of the rock n roll WOMAN..(for her to, say, "Come on and loosen up some!")...

  • The blond girl is adorable, but her gum chewing gets on my nerves.

  • @WarrensWarriors It's unique all right, can't think of another song with that many key changes. Maybe OMD's "If You Leave". One of my favorites.

  • A couple more key changes and they would have gotten back to where they started. Great song though. :)

  • @jhunter1163 I'm a guitar player. I think the key changes what makes it a great song. It starts in the key of F# and shifts five times ending on B using Keys F# G Ab A Bb and B. Each key change fuels the song ever slightly faster building a feeling of excitement. The song is like a race car going down a quarter mile drag strip shifting threw the gears. It grabs your attention and keeps it to the end.

  • @WarrensWarriors YOU NAILED IT, HUNTER1163!!!!! YOU DESCRIBED THAT SONG PERFECTLY!!!!

  • @WarrensWarriors Believe it or not, there's another Four Seasons tune that has even more fancy key changes than this one. On the flipside of "Big Man In Town" is a song called "Little Angel." Check out lorjim58's high fidelity upload of it on YouTube. The song has a bridge, followed by an instrumental break in which it just keeps modulating up and up and up until it finally arrives back at the original key. They just don't write 'em like that anymore.

  • The way that kid keeps chewing in time to the music is downright comical. If there had been a microphone near her face, her teeth might have added some extra percussion sounds.

  • @IDLERACER YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!!! FAMOUS TEETH!!!!!

  • THIS IS THEIR ALL-TIME BEST love song by them BAR-NONE!

  • best song by the four seasons(:

  • The little girl on Valli's lap is going to town on that gum.

  • Im 14 years old and I love this song

  • This song breaks my heart. It reminds me of my first love, Rhonda.

  • Hat was, habe es aber noch nicht gefunden

  • its like watching a great band with a damn horse in the picture. slap the gum right out of her mouth.

  • Great song. I'm sure the daughter has seen it over the years. She's heading towards retirement age now.

  • That dude has an amazing voice. The arrangement, however, could do with a few fewer key changes...

  • Would love to see that kid's reaction if she could see this video today for the first time in 40+ years. Hopefully she has.

  • thanks for finding this but that kid is annoying but always liked this song

  • @TheGarry3 She could be the child that ruined most sitcoms... Oh wait, that's NOT "Cousin Oliver" or Raven? :-) I DO love the song, though... always have (it was a hit quite a bit before I was born, but I DO have the album)...

  • Bassist was Tommy Long (i think), not Nick Massi

  • @mikemorehead71 joe long. not tommy. haha. he replaced charles calello who shortly replace nick massi

  • @Daisyno2- Bob Gaudio, Nick Massi, and Tommy DeVito were the 3 other

' Seasons'. If you enjoy their music; you should check out the Jersey Boys, the story of the group. And yes, this was Frankie's daughter in the vid.

Thanks for posting this, ArtMer! A classic.

  • Favorite Four Season Song. Loved it.

  • one of the best songs they ever recorded

  • THANKS FOR POSTING...I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR IT TOO...FINALLY ! ..WHAT A GREAT SONG !

  • Is that Dick Clark's voice in the intro?

  • Yea I agree, lose the kid

  • Is the kid trying to sing along or chewing gum..poor kid

  • my fovorite part is the very end when he yells, "I'LL BE STROOOOONG!"

    FUCKING AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! ♥

  • can someone tell me the names of the guys in the background,,,,besides the 3 seasons?

  • Love, love love this song! (hate the gum chewing tho, sorry)

  • Blimey! I never expected to see this one on here! Thank you x

If that little kiddie is indeed Francine, then it is too sad for words when he sings, "I'll be strong, I'll try to carry on," and then looks straight at her as he sings, "although I know it won't be easy when you're gone."

  • who is francine..I cant find much about his non permforming live even on his website.

  • @Daisyno2 Francine is Frankie Valli's daughter who died young from drug overdose

  • Its only gum and its a little girl ...and if it is his daughter...mind your own business.

  • I would love to have seen Frankie give that kid a left hook!

  • My favourite from the Jersey boys.

  • Good heavens! Couldn't the parents have asked her to spit out the gum once it was apparent she was going front and center?

  • I searched for this song as well but without luck. It's an all time genuine classic - so thanks for putting it up

  • My dad used to sing this to me when I was a little girl and changed the lyrics to my nickname" Christy pie." Great song and great memories. Thanks for posting this!

  • Frankie is so unbelievably talented and adorable <3

  • If the little girl is indeed "Francine" then this makes this video so special. Francine would later die of a drug overdose.

  • I used to stay home from nursery school to watch Where The Action Is with my teenaged sister. Good times. Then I had this 45 with Beggar's Parade on the flipside. That was a rare, but good political song for the 4. This song brought a lot of happiness and dancing to my friends and me. The little girl in the video? She's just very nervous.

  • The actors in the Vegas "Jersey Boys" look so much like these guys.

  • great memories - superb!

  • Ah, what a wonderful video!

  • How much we love you Frankie. Arica..... CHILE

  • wow!! thank you so much for this video!

  • That's his daughter Francine. Show some respect.

  • what an interesting and iconic video!!!

  • I played along with this song for years... and tore my throat trying to sing all the "high" parts: this is a great song! thanks for posting!

  • you are hero of the year .ABRAZO ARGENTINO .GRACIAS POR LOS RECUERDOS

  • My favortie Four Seasons Song. It should have been a bigger hit. His baritone/falsetto vocals was something.

  • Excelente, alguien podría ahora bajarlo en español, creo que la canta el grupo "Los ovnis", así la he buscado y no lo encuentro, por favor, gracias.

  • I love Frankie Valli!! He's the best. That kid needs to show a bit more enthusiasm!

  • My all-time favorite song.

  • @lbangs3 Mine too!

  • wow i've been finding this song for a long time!

  • That kid is so obnoxious!

  • @Petsounz

Must be a relative or something. If I was casting this video I certainly would not have picked her. She's chewing gum like a cow. She may as well have been picking her nose! LOL!!!

  • @TheMustangsally75 ..........Yeah, she needed a swat !!! OMG that would be child abuse today !!!

  • Pull the gum out of that kids mouth...

  • fantastic! Love to see the old clips...brings back soooo many great memories

  • Thank you so much!!! I've been searching all over for this song on YouTube!! Finaly!

    you're a Hero of the week! =)
