Just like AuliaHarun...I've been flying the 777 for sometime now and I've had to learn it the hard way...Making mistakes and correcting myself. I wish I had these tutorials back then. Anyways, I really appreciate you taking the time to put together a series consisting of every stage of the flight. I am sure everyone here will be grateful for your effort.
Watched the whole series, very informative and worth watching. Even though I already knew how to fly the PSS777, this video really taught me several new things. Great project :)
This has been an enjoyable experience and it has upped my understanding of the details a bit, especially the weather radar function. It has enriched my knowledge, as it were. I am looking forward to your coming in detail vids about autoflight systems. Wow, excellent work. 5*
Yup, that's confirmed by the FCOM as well. Best to have it running well before you reach the gate. I've had this scenario happen where I didn't start the APU after vacating and forgot about it, shut the engines down at the gate and everything blacks out... :)
Yeah, because it takes a while to get the APU fully running. That'd be quite funny as the passenger though (well, maybe not, as I know certain people will start panicking if there was a black out).
actually u know what? There is a vid somewhere here on YT that shows some Lufthansa airbus pilots parking at the gate after landing. Unfortunately and incomprehensibly, they forgot about the APU (i gues high workload) so when they shutdown the engines after parking break set, guess what happened? everything blacked out insturments black, no lights. After a "whoah" then they turned the APU on and then everything came back on. But see, it can happen in real life :P. I will look for link.
Excellent series, very interesting!

Is that payware scenery?

Nah...it's freeware. I downloaded it from AVSIM but now that it's down for the moment, I'm not sure where else to find it.
