this is an absolutely horrible rendition! this song is just not suited for her. very disappointing. i prefer the manhattan transfer's version any day. and the ad libs original was a classic.

Donna Loren! Like many, I first became aware of her in the beach movies. Even at age 9, I didnt understand why they would feature another brunette who sang so much better than Annette. My Mother, who liked to take us to the Shore Drive-In in Va Beach, suggested that the producers did it to keep Annette in line, like she could always be replaced by Donna! Hahaha. Of course not true! Ive read that Sam Arkoff was so impressed by her powerhouse contralto, he just wanted to give her a shot.
