The deteriation of Liams voice is probably more likly due to his singing technique. You can't belt it out in that manner for 15 years without it having an impact on your chords (smoking ofcourse wouldnt have helped the situation)

I disagree. the deteriation his voice happened very quickly, from the age of 21 to 26 (1994-1999). his voice was shot after Be Here Now. funnily enough, the same 5 years he smoked a billion cigarettes. there's plenty of singers who've sung louder and higher than him, he just wrecked his vocals chords at a young age from living hard.

There are tons of singers who sing louder, and higher, but they tend to have proper technique, Liam just belted it out like he was shouting a meldoy. Theres a distinct difference between the 2, both have very different effects on the fragile chords.

Noels voice has only got better as the yeas have gone on, and he smokes like a tropper and did all the drugs n drinking Liam did. But noel dosnt shout it out like Liam.
