The Sage of the 6 Paths isn't called that because he has "6 weapons," he's called that because he's based off of the 6 realms of reincarnation in Buddhism (though in the show, the 6 paths are people Madara needs to become god-like). The 5 Treasures are based off of the story Journey to the West. Hope that helps.

A chapter focusing on below-secondary is likely to be fillerific. The only way for this chapter to NOT be filler is if it leads to Naruto wielding those "ultimate ninja weapons". (My definition of filler is that it doesn't make a difference to the actual plot.)

Pretty cool how the Kinkaku and Ginkaku brothers are part of the classic Chinese novel "Journey to the West". Kishimoto is amazing when it comes to making allusions to Chinese and Japanese mythology. Even the 5 weapons and their abilities in the chapter are based on those stories. Plus in the novel, the gold and silver brother's mother was....A NINE TAILED FOX.

I have a feel even those Samui and Atsui got seal in the gourd i think might still be savable cause kishi dosent kill C List character even when he should have kill them like Chouza,Ebisu,and Ibiki who all fought a path of pain and lived.It's seem like Kishi only kill named character when it meaningful even a C Llist characters like Azuma and Kisame deaths were very powerful moments in the story and way Samui got sealed feel almost like cheating if she was kill so cheaply it be a shame

i dont think this is a filler chapter, its gonna contribute to the story line because of the weapons. Its not a coincidence that there are weapons that remove souls and all the ressurected are people's souls bound to bodies. Most likely they get the weapons and need naruto and bee to use it.

This chapter was amazing, the fight scene was great. The concept of the five weapons was very creative even thou you need all five to actually be useful. Darui is now one of my favorite characters he's so badass. I'm beginning to think that so far this arc is better than the marineford arc, naruto is beating one piece and bleach.

This whole chapter was a name pun chapter. Samui means "cold", complimetary to her chilled behaviour and her trigger word being "cool". Atsui means "hot" hence his hotheaded behaviour and his trigger word being "hot". Kishi's Ying-Yang twin combo. btw your Hinata point kinda came out of nowhere. Just sayin.
