@ShawnGrayV I have not said anything against using solar panels, other than the cost of the panels being high. I'm all for trying to leverage solar panels. I think it would be very useful to split water using the electric energy from solar panels during the day, and then heat the house in the evening with that hydrogen. The hydrogen burner wouldn't need an exhaust because it only produces water. Very efficient.

dose this work, yes. but the electrolysis to separate the h2o into hho takes more energy, than what it produces. but it still has a valuable application. but it is more expensive than traditional combustible gasses like propane and asetaliane
Actually people forget that your electric comes from a plant that either burns gas, coal, or if you are lucky renewable resources. So even if its not burning it here, it is burning gas somewhere else.
It uses electrolysis to dissociate the water... the electricity is usually probuced by burning fossil fuels, thus making this irrelivent. Also, in a given amount of water, more energy is used to change the water to HHO, than the energy produced by the flame.

Hydrogen cannot bond in that way. This cannot be serious. Hydrogen has a single electron and can only form one bond. Water is H-O-H. HHO cannot exist.

this is pure nonsense, this is a normal hydrogen oxygen flame. he is just using a very inefficient method to make HHO, which is hydrogen mixed with oxygen. Its much better to seperate HH from O, and also trivial to do, and use a burner that puts each gas into the flame in a perfect distribution for creating a very hot spot, using hydrogen and oxygen seperately and unifying it in the flame, not earlier.
this provides more safety and higher temperatures.
@kurtilein3 The purpose of this video is to show that you can make a torch with just water and electricity. It never said that it's the best or most efficient way. And saying "no other gas will do this" is true. He was talking about the fact that it doesn't burn your hand yet cuts through everything. Try putting your hand in any regular torch and see what happens. The main point of this was the car engine in case you didn't realize.
one fact in your comment is wrong, of course you can burn yourself badly with such a torch! It is not safer than a flame that is feeded by two seperate gas bottles of hydrogen and oxygen. It is clearly less safe, becaue in a normal setup hydrogen and oxygen are mixed in the flame, and you do not have an explosive mixture anywhere else, only pure oxygen and pure hydrogen.

i sticked my whole hand into liquid nitrogen. On a different occasion, i sticked my whole hand into liquid helium. One thing that i did not do but which a professor i know does: He makes his hand totaly wet, and then he sticks it into liquid lead. Do you know what liquid lead does when you come in contact with it? It first burns you, then kills you by lead poisoning. Unless your hands are wet with water, then the temperature cannot exceed 100 degrees centigrade.

Meaning we need loads more windmills all over the place, or we need several more nuclear plants (and everyone is building these like crazy, given what's going on in Japan). Or, as I originally said, use your own solar panels to power the electrolysis machine. Either way, as the saying goes, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Or free gas, in this case.

It uses electrolysis to dissociate the water... the electricity is usually probuced by burning fossil fuels, thus making this irrelivent. Also, in a given amount of water, more energy is used to change the water to HHO, than the energy produced by the flame.

this is pure nonsense, this is a normal hydrogen oxygen flame. he is just using a very inefficient method to make HHO, which is hydrogen mixed with oxygen. Its much better to seperate HH from O, and also trivial to do, and use a burner that puts each gas into the flame in a perfect distribution for creating a very hot spot, using hydrogen and oxygen seperately and unifying it in the flame, not earlier.
this provides more safety and higher temperatures.

And saying "no other gas will do this" is true. He was talking about the fact that it doesn't burn your hand yet cuts through everything. Try putting your hand in any regular torch and see what happens. The main point of this was the car engine in case you didn't realize.

one fact in your comment is wrong, of course you can burn yourself badly with such a torch! It is not safer than a flame that is feeded by two seperate gas bottles of hydrogen and oxygen. It is clearly less safe, becaue in a normal setup hydrogen and oxygen are mixed in the flame, and you do not have an explosive mixture anywhere else, only pure oxygen and pure hydrogen.
in this HHO-nonsense, you have explosive mixtures of gases anywhere, in the cell in the connections.

i sticked my whole hand into liquid nitrogen. On a different occasion, i sticked my whole hand into liquid helium. One thing that i did not do but which a professor i know does: He makes his hand totaly wet, and then he sticks it into liquid lead. Do you know what liquid lead does when you come in contact with it? It first burns you, then kills you by lead poisoning. Unless your hands are wet with water, then the temperature cannot exceed 100 degrees centigrade.

I call that the first phase, heating up and accumulating water, moisture. using exactly the same logic, you could take a metal spoon, put it in the flame for a second or two, and then put the spoon in your mouth and show that you didnt get burned. Following that wrong logic, you could announce that it doesnt burn metal. and then roast a sausage with the flame and conclude that it doesnt burn metal, but flesh. the same flame!

Meaning we need loads more windmills all over the place, or we need several more nuclear plants (and everyone is building these like crazy, given what's going on in Japan). Or, as I originally said, use your own solar panels to power the electrolysis machine. Either way, as the saying goes, there ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Or free gas, in this case.

128/4(ounces for 100 miles) = 32
so if 100miles=4 ounces
then 800 miles is 32 ounces
and finally 3200 miles is one gallon. This car supposedly gets 3200 miles to the gallon? Well the circumference around the earth is 24901 miles. So your telling me that with 8 gallons of gas his car could drive around the earth? Bullshit haha.

It's not free forever we will eventually run out of water??? The water cycle works when water evaporates the condenses in the atmosphere and when it precipitates, the water comes back down and us uses again so we could potentially all be drinking dinosaur pee
