I watched Equilibrium after I watched TB, so when while watching the movie I was commenting that Preston was pulling a Tres, when it was actually the other way around.

Only thing I didn't like was how awkward they made tres look when pulling off Gun Kata. Such as the seen where he chases Abel and the girl in brought daylight, he basically rotates his right arm upside down to fire around the corner. Really didn't work out well.

Nice. I am barely watching Trinity Blood and noticed the scene from Equilibrium. I am glad I am not the only one that noticed this similiarity, but I wonder which came out first? The Equilibrium commentary makes no reference to Trinity Blood (or anime) during that scene, so... is it safe to assume?

Equilibrium came out in December 2002 while the manga for Trinity Blood in 2004. However, the first three graphic novels for Trinity Blood also came out before December 2002 but I have not read those and do not know if that scene is in them or not.
