I vividly remember this night. I was so blown away by how beloved she is by the other actors, and by how eloquent, gracious, effusive people were in singing her praises (she deserved it)!

Meryl Streep is MY favorite actress, too- it was just so thrilling to hear Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, and many others voice those same sentiments.

And by the way, I think it all speaks to how much real, TRUE art can mean to us as people; everyone is humbled by HER contributions. M'self included.
