yea it is, and if its not there is a link on the dell forums for it. It links you to a driver for nvidia drivers that has the Alien FX in it.

i'm trying to learn some things about what computer to get to last for a while. it used to be just look at whatever has the higher numbers. but now they have duo cores. so my question is. under specs u have listed quad core. are they really up to four now? and is that combined speed or seperate for each one? i'm really not as computer savy as i'd like to be.

Right now as long as your quad core is 2.6 GHZ or higher and not oced it is faster than a not oced intel core duo at 3.0 ghz... But a 3.0 ghz duo core compared to a 2.4 ghz quad is all up to what you want to do with it... its been proven in games the duo core will be better than the quad in games only... but an all around system and an multimedia system the quad will end up better because itll process quicker with 4 working better than 2... as i said the duo does gaming a bit (1% better in all)

I really don't mess around with the fans. All my games play fine with the default DELL settings, even Crysis.

The only reason I would play with them is if they were too loud or if I played games in a super hot room. It got pretty warm over here this summer and I never had to ajust the fans.

Try to build the best system at the better price. Both Alienware and the DELL web site offer the opportunity to do this personalize your system. When I got mine Dell was the best deal... now, I don't know.

I would try the ATI website, to see if there is a driver that you could download to change the lights on a XPS 630i .

I would also post the same question on the official DELL help support forum. They then to respond pretty fast.

Ok i seriously need help. i got my xps 630 today. i changed the lights myself and its now red. but i restarted my computer did some stuff then realized that now for some reason i don't get a chassis tab on my nvidia control panel!!! Help!! I want this to be fixed! PM me if u know how to fix it!

Open the nvidia control panel and go to chassi then u see the led's and if all of the colors are on 0 at the uppers just draw them to the color of your liking if that dosnt work i sudject u contact customer support wich powns even if they are from india.

I'm guessing you already figured it out but just in case, I'll post one. For my computer, I go to start, NVIDIA Corporation, NVIDIA Control Panel, Performance. Once the program runs, click on Device Settings (sub-catagory under performance) You can change the colors by clicking on Chassis. To keep the changed lights, don't forget to save the new settings.

I really love mine too, the only thing that I regret is taking Vista. I'm actually thinking of formating the harddrive and installing XP.

I hate Vista, half of my programs don't work with it.

That was one thing I didn't like about my XPS 630 Order. Dell charges the customers more money to downgrade from vista to XP. In my opinion, it's ridiculous.

I knew there where some compatibility problems with Vista but I never tought it would be so bad. I'm in the process of slowly backing up all my files so I can make the swich.

There are a lot... I can't get my Wacom tablet to work, Quark was a pain to install and I'm having many issues with it I even tried to install old games like Unreal Tournament (1999) and it just doesn't work. I even tried to install XP and it crashes.

I guess I'll stick with Vista for now but I wish I had XP.

vista is better than xp if it comes with the computer,

it just screws up if you install it on a computer that has had XP previously

It's a 2,4 QuadCore with 4g of 800MHz Corsair Dominator SDRAM and a GeForce 8800 GTX 768Mo.

I also got their new 20 inches UltraSharp 2009 monitor.

The whole thing costed around 2300$
