so I have not ridden one but from what i hear from a few people they break super easy one guy said he broke like 6 last season idk what he was riding another guy i talked to said they went rocker because all there camber board went flat after a year. If you watch closely if that's it that's all and art of flight you can see Travis riding a regular camber version of his board. So up's to Mervin for making boards in America but they seem to have questionable standards

i rode a banana last year and it was off the chain, unreal snowboarding. Its amost like cheating the sport. basicly its a super responsive board. never gets hung upon rails, and i can press it so hard it almost folds in half! also has very good stability on jumps. no jump is too big for the banana :)

@jon1151 depends on what kind of "all mountain' riding you do. If your riding like travis, big ak spines and massive booters, then sure roll with the t-rice, the Total Ripper Series is another good jumping/powder board. If your just riding around a resort and want something that floats in powder but is still really playful in whatever conditions id say the the Matt Cummins Kink, longest running promodel in snowboarding. man all their boards kill it.

I took this board for a trial run on rained out ice that felt like concrete...and the magnetraction really works. It's almost like skidding on normal snow but just "louder".

At slow speeds you can even hook into a carved turn on the ice like it's an ice skate that turns on a dime. Pretty good feature.

are you talk'n @ the metal edge not fully wrapping the board? if so don't worry, cuz it doesn't really need to wrap all the way around, your never carving & turning with tail or nose anyway... I got my 09 dark sreies btx and it is the best damn board i've ever rode.. mervin mfg. rocks ;)

I rode my friends TRS Banana Mangnetraction and this is what I have to say about it. - turns on a dime - switches like it reads your mind - spins like a tornado - feels like a boat slicing through slush and coasting the flats - ollies like there's an invisible kicker. The only thing I notice "bad" was it doesn't stop as fast because of the reverse camber making it not as catchy skidding to a stop. But it just takes some getting used to...because it turns an spins so fast that it can throw you.

People have said that its still amazing on ice.. just cuz of the design of the edge.

A board with "magnetraction" holds ice well. If you look down the edge, it's not a smooth arc. It looks serrated like a steak knife. There are like 5 or 7 points of contact I think.

i bought the lib-tech TRS banana tech and megne-traction and i went on a road trip with a couple friends on my birthday and broke my left heel on the 3rd run so i haven't been able to ride any more then that but those 3 runs were prob the best ones i've had for a loong time!! and i'm riding a 151 now and i use to ride a technine icon 157 befor my lib tech...

the 151 is a narrow version, so yes. get the regular 152 and you should be okay.

I picked up a 156 skate banana and have been riding it all season at baker and i must say i dont really wanna ride anything else. With the exception of a stiffer one for powder because this board is way soft but it kills it in any conditions TRUST MERVIN!!

Skate Bananas come in Narrow sizing which is basically a girls board. But if you want, you can also look into the GNU B-Street. It is a girls board with magnetraction and banana technology. (Lib-tech and gnu's are both made by the same company, Mervin.)
