  • is that the sonex built by drew waterworth?

  • nice

  • Camera: Tim Dawson-Townsend

    Camera ship pilot: Anton Nielsen

  • wow how long did it took you to buil your airplane, and how olda are u u look young to build your own airplane

  • ok thanks a lot, i will have to play flight simulator with the sonex , until a can buy one xD

  • ok, and at sea level which is the max speed? i heard about 130 mph.

    upload more videos pls

  • Um, that's an interesting topic. It's ot to be less than 125-130 or so at cruise power to qualify for LSA. Technically it does, but I've seen 135-140 mph at sea level at a bit more than cruise power, and I regularly see 170 mph cruise at 5K+ altitude. Awesome.

  • more video eventually coming.

    Bad new england winter though.

  • great vid! my favourite plane.

can you put more than 120p on the sonex?

  • nope - that's the MAX. it's really spec'd for the 80hp VW conversion, so the 120hp is awesomely powered for messing around and high performance...

  • very njice, impressive.

  • Jab 3300

  • What engine are you using? Aerovee or Jab 3300?

  • You're a legend Aaron!! Excellent stuff - well done.
