  • does it really come with all that stuff when u buy it new?

  • Great advice about the "lock tight". I totally forgot about it and haven't seen anyone recommend it lately. I can use it for a couple of my gun laser sights/tact lights. Thanks.

  • Does it have any match grade components like the USP 45 Tactical has? I'm going back and forth between these two guns.

  • @a2birdcage

Well neither the website or manual has any indication that point towards "match" grade parts but I can tell you that off hand I can put 45acp slugs touching each other repeatedly at 25 yards standing and that is accuracy as good as any that a match barrel or trigger can provide.

Let it come down to how the guns feel in your hand and how they would fit your need for such a gun rather than what a company says it has.

Make sure the one you choose is a match to you and your style.

  • They have a lot of FNP's At My Gun Store In Arizona I havent seen any 9mm Though i like FNP guns Ima have to switch form glocks to fnp

  • @trinidadfromaz

To give you a good idea on how it compares the glock 19 is very similar to the fnp 9. I just recently got a FNP-9 and took it to the range and I was very surprised. The FN just felt right. It was easy to grip and shoot and the controls were very comfortable. It only took a few shots for me to realized the glock 19 was taking a second place when it came to fun factor. You should definitely give them a try.

  • I bought this pistol and liked it to start out. But I wish I would have went with the HK tactical 45. My FNP tac always has the mounting plate for the optic shift around when I shoot it, and the thread protector always starts coming off too. My FNP has less than 750 rds thru it. I would be willing to trade for a USP tac 45 in the same condition in an instant.

  • @HKmanlp1

Start off by putting some lock tight on the bolts that hold the sight and the plate together. The thread protector on mine comes off too so I just take it off when I shoot and put it back on when I'm done. I see your Name is HKMan. Maybe you have buyers regreat and until you get that HK you won't be able to really appreciate the FN.

If you do get the HK please let me know how it compares after 750 rounds. Thanks.

  • Wait....Thats an od green handle?

  • Great Video and GREAT gun! I'm going to do some research on it. By the way, how much does it weigh? Keep up the good work.

  • You should have both eyes open with or without your RM05. The trijicon doesn't "give" you the ability to shoot both eyes open, you should already be able to do that with your regular sights.

  • @OKPatriot92

I have lots of people say this to me, I can't get my head wrapped around the idea of shooting with deadly accuracy at a target beyond 15 yards with both eyes open I have tried trust me to fire my gun with both eyes open and try to acquire a sight picture and for me at lest is one very slow to focus with both eyes open and two very hard to hit were I intend with both eyes open.

Some pointers might help. Maybe a video demonstrating how to achieve this. Thanks.

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 naw i dont think so guy........ i dont see any FNP 45's or 9mms being used by global armies.

How ever, i do see so with HK usp's

  • BELGIUM!

  • 15 rounds is just to awesome

  • What is the nonbattery red dot that is used with the FNP 45 Tactical? Thanks.

  • @richardlgray

The Trijicon RM05 Dual Illuminated sight.

  • @zaldivarbigboy

Thanks. That is just the info I need.

  • This is a Wanna be HK tac.......

why does everyone copy the germans?

  • @Howie262

If like you said its a wanna be, its doing a much better job at it than the HK did. I love the HK 45 Tactical but couldn't pass up the FN due to the many more features for the money. I didn't buy a brand, I bough function and I'm very happy with it.

  • @zaldivarbigboy eh.... HK is just simply better quality, better feel.

Ask any 1911 fan and they'll most likely tell you their favorite tactical 45 is an HK, or USP.

ill spend the few extra to get a more solid military proven pistol.

  • will the slide for the tactical fit the non tactical fnp 45. i don't want the tac cause i will never get a suppressor. but i would like the red dot mount on the slide for range fun. it would be nice to be able to just change out the slide and go.

  • @howardz71

I'm pretty sure it will. Its based on he same gun. I just have no idea how much they would like to get paid for a bare slide. It might be a more economical way to go about it.

  • Hopefully this will replace the Berreta 92. The FNP 45 is definately on my list

  • BEST GUN I NTHE FUCKIN WORLD kinda tied with the FN 5.7 just got back from my citys gun show n looked at one im interested

  • @YESMAN977

Glad to hear that. Its is at the very top of my list and it takes handling or shooting one to really appreciate it.

  • @YESMAN977 Just wondering what make you think its the best gun in the world?

  • I held one at TacPro outside Fort Worth Texas yesterday and now I want it more than before. It was sold, however they were nice enough to let me check it out. The gun was black. I much prefer the natural tan/green look. I have a FNX 9 and it has same Basic design with ambidextrous mag release and safety/de cocker as you mentioned. Biggest reason I want the 45 is the wide frame for the optic mounting. Don't think the 9 is wide enough to accomplish this. I can get everything else like threads et

  • @kevin41568

To tell you the truth I want to get me an FNX-9 just cause the controls are so much like the FNP-45 tactical just to keep the training cost down and it would be nice to have a little brother to the 45.

I'm glad you liked it cause it truly is a very nice and capable gun.

  • i dont think the shit is worth over a g, i have Holographic sights and thraded barrel made by lone wolf on my glock 20 10mm nd i cost me less then that gun.

  • @smokingace11226

If you ever shoot one set up the way mine is it would change your mind. what you say has some truth.

you can send your Glock slide to be machined for a red dot and install back up non night sight on it for about 250, a good threaded barrel for the 10mm will run you 120 from long wolf, You don't get a nice carry bag, and only two magazines, also you don't get a SA/DA gun with interchangeable back straps and with the said upgrades your at 950 on the Glock. THE FN IS WORTH IT.

  • @zaldivarbigboy yeah but its not an fn in 10mm:(

  • A Trijicon RMR Dual-Illuminated optic is technically not a holographic sight or red dot optic, it's just a reflex optic. EoTechs use holographic films, that's why MW2 called it that instead of an EoTech. And I don't call it red dot either because the dots not red. It's definitely awesome to have a non battery operated because I'd hate to leave the optic off all day while carrying it concealed and have to draw the gun and turn the optic on while (in worst case scenario) have to draw my gun.

  • Does the Holographic sight come with the gun?

  • @PapaleguasTX

No it does not come with the gun. It has to be purchase separately with options ranging from 150-500 depending on what sight you use.

  • The rainbow six theme in the background is a very nice touch!

  • I'm normally a 9mm or .40 chap, but this is the first .45 I actually LIKE. :)

  • @SPeacock

I gotta tell you, im also a 9 and 40 kind of guy too but when I saw the FN I had to have it. It is the closest Im ever going to get to a 45 combat pistol. I cant afford a wilson combat or ed brown so the FN fits that bill without braking the bank. It has performed extreamly well for me.

  • @zaldivarbigboy I do have one issue preventing me from getting it, though - I live in the UK.

  • @zaldivarbigboy

I just bought this gun today, and man it is amazing.

  • @zakkandmetallica

Have you had a chance to shoot it yet? and I highly recommend saving up for an optic like the RMR or Docter cause with the dot it becomes much more amazing. It still makes my jaws drop every time I go to the range and see how good I can shoot with this gun.

  • @zaldivarbigboy

Yeah, I just shot it today at the range. I put 500 rounds through it breaking it in. I bought the RMR Red dot sight with it when I bought it, and that sight is just amazing. now If I could only afford a suppressor. HAHAHAHA

  • Zombie time pistols rock!

  • nice

  • I believe the high rise sights are higher than normal in order to use them with a suppressor. Lower sights are useless when your sight picture includes a suppressor. I have the standard FNP .45 and like it very much. I wish the double action pull was lighter, that's it.

  • You can't hide this weapon well.

  • that is one ugly gun

  • @bullit4x

I happen to love the way it looks. But thanks for your input.

  • @zaldivarbigboy I'm with you, thats one of the most beautiful guns i've ever seen. I love FNH guns... some of the finest guns on the market. Good review. How much was it?

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI

When it comes to the price I actually paid the "I gotta have this gun now" premium of 1200 bucks cause it was the only one in my county. I bough it when it first came out so at the time that was the going price even at gun broker. With the trijicon RMR I have something close to 1500 in this gun and I don't regret any of it.

I truly like this this product that FN made.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Yeah, that a little high these days but I don't blame you one bit. I would pay that much for it too.. I just bought a Springfield MC Operator that was about the same price and I love it more than anything I own, but I almost wish I had this.. lol.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI

The main thing is buying something you like or it does not matter weather you pay 5-5000 it will not be worth it if you don't like and enjoy it. I bet that operator is one mean 1911.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Yeah, I agree... I bought a smith and wesson m&p 15 with an eotech and some other accessories before I got the 1911 and I regretted it. I finally got the 1911 and I was much happier than when I got the AR. Anyway, I did a review on my operator if you want to check it out, take care.

  • @AdoreYouInAshXI

Already did and sub to your channel as well. You said you had a DPMS and an AK as well looking forward to checking those vids too.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Yeah, i'll probably do a vid on my AK soon but my M&P is much nicer than the DPMS... it's just a stock carbine but i'll probably throw it in the video with the AK for good measure, lol. Thanks for checking my channel out.

  • Got mine in CA, gotta wait ten days though until I pick her up! Stupid laws out here, what good is a cool off period for a purchase of a gun when you have 20 other guns you're familiar with in your safe! lol oh well can't wait I love this gun!

  • @sbkarmen

Thanks for the comment. I know you will love it. First thing I would advice is to play around with the backstraps to find the one that gives you the most comfortable grip.

I guess it being in California its only going to have 3 10 round magazines right?

  • @zaldivarbigboy Yeah three ten round magazines and the threaded barrel is a no no, I have to get it machined off and or new barrel. the other thing in CA is this gun is not on the list, because FNH refuses to give them like $5K for each pistol and each config along with 5 guns to perform whats called a drop test?? Its a money making scam, in the mean time our choice of guns is minimal. I'm getting this one under a single shot exemption rule, take out the mag and put a block, then reverse it.

  • @sbkarmen

Man that saddens me but you actually having a love of guns and willing to put up with all the bureaucracy makes me happy again. Hopefully one day California will be like the rest of us free states. Just make sure you support all your gun rights groups in your area and state.

  • "Not a Concealed Carry Pistol?" . . . . Challenge Accepted!

  • @d030y1

No contest. I retract my previous statement. if you want to you can. I only carry IWB and that was what i meant to be not the best choice for IWB carry. But it can definitely be carry OWB or in any other practical way you come up with. Fanny pack or "man purse" or what not.

    Thanks for the comment

  • Damn that looks nice. It has the decocker of my HK .45 USP and the slide catch of my Sig P229. Those optics are real nice. Good for you man. I like that a lot. Next time I'm down at the shop, I'm going hands on.

  • @thatguy66ish

If you can go hands on you will most definitely like it. specially when you feel how light it really is.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • what kind of site do you have on that gun??

  • you can easily shoot with boy eyes open using the fixed sights

  • @brazilianEYEreportU

In a close quarters self defense situation say 3-7 yards you could shoot with both eyes open if you focus on the front sight only.

Pass 15 yards you can't go both eyes open and expect point of aim accuracy. That is were the RMR shines. It allows you to make clear and accurate shots while retaining a great field of view on targets that get progressively smaller at further distances or are at motion.

  • @zaldivarbigboy are you puertorican? :-)

  • @runhorun

    Almost. I actually Cuban.

Win Win situation.

  • @zaldivarbigboy one can easily get 6" groups shooting at 25 yards with both eyes open, unless you're blind.

  • @brazilianEYEreportU

That to me seems almost imposible and trust me I'm not blind. So help me and all those others that might be interested how exactly do you achive this task. Give me some pointers that I can follow next time I visit the range so that I can try to achive this 6" group at 25 yards with both eyes open. Also what kind of gun or more specifically what brand of sight are you doing this with

  • @zaldivarbigboy if you're not completely used to shooting with both eyes, you should start with your normal sight picture with one eye closed, and slowly open your other eye, key word is slowly. you have more depth perception and a larger field of view with both eyes open, and shooting at any distance even with a sight radius as small on a sub compact becomes as normal as shooting with one eye closed. i've been shooting both eyes open since i was a kid, trust me it isn't impossible.

  • What a sexy gun, I'm a 1911 guy but geez if I ever get into competition, I'd love to have an FNP

  • What do you use for a holster? (thinking about getting one for my job as an armed guard)

  • @d2ahiddenkiller

I'm on the process of making my own IWB holster but when it comes to holsters for this gun there are two players that I know off.

One OWB is Blade-Tech and they are about 70 bucks a lot of people say blade tech are high quality holsters.

The IWB is a Crossbreed Holsters and they run about 100 bucks. I love my Crossbreed holster I have for my Glock 32.

    Hope the info was helpful.

  • @azron420

Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the support.

  • Ok, now shoot it, gosh, enough with the talking.

  • @redking15ca

There is a video of nothing but shooting. Check it out.

  • Is this better than hk 45, m1911?

  • @The30calboy

All I can say is this. When I went to buy the FNP 45 Tactical I had enough cash to get a very nice 1911 or a Sig P220 Tactical or a HK Tactical bad I went for the FNP. If I had to do it all over again today I would still choose the FNP 45 Tactical For the Same reasons I choose it before.

Superb Magazine capacity, great value, super practical and great company with great reputation.

  • I own the FNX-40, and the next pistol i'm getting is the FNP-45...

  • @goldsut

I don't believe so at the moment. Maybe as it starts to become more popular it might be.

  • @goldsut

The KP 45 is supposed to be a copy of the HK USP Match. Not this gun. If you look up KP 45 and then do a search for HK USP Match you'll find the same weapon.

This is the FNP 45 Tactical. Its its own weapon and it made by FN Herstal and not HK.

  • to my knowledge JCP was scrapped?

  • @GrenMoyo

It was suspended in 2006 so companies like FN that design weapons for such program were left with with a newly designed handgun for the military that it no longer has any interest on. Mostly cause the Army decided to opt out of the program and keep the current M9. The army being one of the biggest spenders kind of left the floor leaving very little profit to be made.

So we civilians get a firearm originally designed for SOCOM. How cool is that.

  • nice shout out to nutnfancy, love that guy and also ur shit is the shit i just bought the fnp today i believe the standard barrel is four and a quarter

  • @cunliffe5108

Thanks for the comment. You have a few thing working for you cause you bought the standard FNP 45. If you call bowie tactical they can probably machine your slide to accept the different models of sight like the one on this gun or the burris. I know they do it for the Glocks and the M&P's.

  • nice shout out to nutnfancy, love that guy and also ur shit is the shit i just bought the fnp today

  • this gun would look better with a black slide IMO!

  • wow the gun is so much more nicer in than than in black!

  • @tomer0616

I have always like the way the FN than color looked in the FNP series of guns and when I saw the FNP in this Flat Dark Earth color I had to get it.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Its good to be rich Brah!

  • Can you remove that ridiculously gay red dot sight ???

  • @TheJasonDR

I actually can but I'm not going to. Just cause you can't afford all that FNP 45 Goodness does not make it gay.

Can you remove your ridiculously gay comment????

  • @zaldivarbigboy

He's to gay to do that.

  • @zaldivarbigboy nice rewiew. Btw do you wanne know something funny? it takes 10 minutes to get to Fabrique National from my front door :-)

  • @katebakske

I really hope that being were you are you can hopefully get a better price than what we can here in the US cause this is a really great gun but the entry price point is keeping a whole bunch of people simply hoping for one. Either way if you ever decide to go by the factory tell someone than you for a great gun. LOL.

  • Sic man

  • @aarwilson

    Thanks...

  • How durable is the RMR gun sight?

  • @mechanicalbu11

Its made for the military to be used as a back up to the ACOG'so I bet they are pretty tough. I personally will never put it though enough hardship to test it properly but I bet Trijicon had a tough sight in mind when they design the RMR.

  • the sight doesnt make you a better shooter, instead it helps you shoot better.

  • GREAT REVIEW!

  • i like your video, 10 minutes long, not 45 minutes of nonsense like nutnfancy.

  • Whats the model of that RMR?

  • Haven't used a de-cocker before, has there been accidents with them? And just as a added precaution, can you ride the hammer with your thumb?

  • @juki009

Older guns like the surplus Russian makarov or the cz52 had very primitive de-cockers and have been know due to excessive wear to be prone to discharge a round if you use the de-cocker.

Most modern weapons tho have added safeties such as rotating the firing pin out of the way as you de-cock de hammer to prevent any accidental discharge.... Its definitely safer than squeezing the trigger and riding the hammer.... If you finger slips you know for certain the gun is going off.

  • @zaldivarbigboy

Also, most firearms (including this one I believe) will not drop the hammer all the way to the starting position. It will be slightly off the firing pin area.

  • Great review! That's how you do it, no BS, just the facts, what you like, what you don't.

I will definitely be watching your videos.

    Much respect.

  • Is it true that the recoil feels like a 9mm?

  • @checchia

Well the truth of the matter is that it does not recoil like a 9 cause if you had the same gun in a 9mm i would recoil less but the statement "it recoils like a 9mm" is used to imply that the gun with its wider and longer grip size allows you to wrap your hands around it better thus giving you better grip in turn making the felt recoil feel more like a full size 40 or mid size 9 compared to other 45ACP semi autos in the market. Hope that helped.

  • @zaldivarbigboy All right! Thanks man! Great video!

  • I just don't understand why you keep saying keep both eyes open, i mean who the fuck closes their eye(s) to acquire a target? point towards center mass and squeeze till empty, whats so difficult :)

  • Nice video man. Do you know if availability is still scarce on these?

  • @miket1590

Funny you ask. I was looking at the forums yesterday and for some reason it looked like the dark earth color ones are getting kind of hard to find. It seems like the black color one is taking over the market. The gun is still farely available but moslty in black.

I hope they make the dark earth a limited production....

  • @zaldivarbigboy great review man. Do you know how well this would fit a medium sized hand?, because 15 rounds of .45 it ALOT so i'd assume they'd take up alot of space.

  • @jimmyhoffa9

Well I have medium size hands myself and I really don't see any problem with the way I can work the controls and manage recoil with this gun. I have a shooting review with some close up shots of the grip. Check it out so that you can get a good idea of how wide the grip is.

To me personally the grip is confortable and the controls are on the right place so I don't have a problem with the wide grip. The grip is also a bit tall they didn't just widen it to fit 15 45acp rounds in it.

  • 5 dislikes?! wtf!!

  • @MrJuxtapoz2010

Some people just don't like BIG MANLY GUNS. LOL. Probably its was some of those that have no idea how much it really cost to bring something like this to video with decent quality.

For those interested its something like this. First the price of the gun $ then the price of a decent camera and tripod $ and finally your personal time which for every minute of shooting video you have to spend at another 30 in processing or editing. either way I'm happy the saw it.

  • I got my RMR off of Quibids.com for 9 bucks!

  • @1USMarines

Does Quibids really works??? I always though it was a scam and just one last question how long did it take for you to actually win the item.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Its not a scam, just takes hours to win stuff.

  • I got the FNP TAC, just waiting on a Combo streamlight/laser and an Dual non battery RMR! Thanks Leo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The fn feels like a big square block in my hand and I hate the ergonomics, especially the tiny little slide release. So, I bought an HK45c

  • @hamieabn

It does feel a bit squarish if you have mid to small hands and are using the smallest back strap which squares off the grip. The other tree back straps have more contour to them so it makes the grip feel more comfortable.

As far as the Slide Release goes its small, but I have not had any problems with mine. Its similar to a Glock in shape but it could use a bit more angle, I was thinking about bending it up just a tad bit to give it more surface area. By why fix what's not broken.

  • @hamieabn

I still would not trade it even for an HK. There is way more to it than just the size, to me the FNP and the RMR make the perfect fighting handgun. And if you throw a Streamlight TRL1-s to the equation there is very little that can touch it. But that is my preference tho and I respect the preference of others.

Bottom line is if you don't like a gun you won't shot it, and in term won't have fun with it and guns are made to be shot and practice with. No sense in having a safe queen

  • @hamieabn FNP Tactical Forever!

  • I just sold an HK Mark 23 and picked up a dark earth FNP Tactical 45 and I like it better than the Mark 23! Thanks for the video!

  • @1USMarines

Wow Wow Wow. You just started the hornet's nest. Can you go into detail how the FN Tactical is more appealing than the mark 23 or what features of the FN you like over the Mark 23. Everyone ask me which is better and really I never know what to say cause I've never had a Mark 23. Thanks in Advance for your response

  • @zaldivarbigboy Bottom line, the mark 23 is a fine pistol just wayyyy tooo big and bulky and less features than FNP tactical, I hear it serves two purposses is special ops, 1 an ofensive weapon, 2 a boat anchor!

  • I know 1 post said you are running a 7 moa rmr but then another said 9 moa rmr, which one is in this video?

  • @1USMarines

Now your confusing me. LOL. No my RMR, the one in the video is the 7MOA Dual Illuminated model.

  • I did not have time to FNH FN-45 has very high sights so that you can use the sights through the RMR.

  • @takenbyshaun

I believe the high sights are to see over a suppressor can...the H&K USP Tactical has the same high sight configuration because it has a threaded barrel too.

  • Thank you for the review! You've definitely convince me - i think the FNP 45 Tactical is the best gun for the money, especially with the accessories that comes with it and for its intended use. Keep it up and expecting more great reviews.

  • @Punishernbi45

Trust me man, you won't be disappointed on this gun. Its totally awesome. read my comment to scorpioncrow to get some good info on some high end and very well price optics to mount on the slide. I'm currently thinking of getting rid of some of my less liked guns and buy the silencerco Osprey 45 suppressor. I think its all this baby need to be the baddest thing on my inventory.

  • does it have a metal or plastic guide rail.

  • The Fnp 45 Tactical is Amazing flawless handgun, I only wish For the price they would add the Hollow graphic sight with it.

  • @scorpioncrow

Actually if you go to cdnn investments. Com their new catalog has the trijicon docter sight wich is battery powered for only 229.99 and the now discontinued trijicon 7moa battery powered sight for only 189.99 only drawback is that its polymer. Still trijicon and the reviews on it are good. Those are some good alternatives.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Cool thanks man.

  • How much was the Hollow graphic sight??

  • Ambidextrous! Say it with me now: " AM BIH DEX TRUSS " .

  • @rickyjames08

Now that is funny. Probably the funiest thing ill see today. By the way could you also help me with "threaded" lol

  • Which RMR is that?

  • @FWalshingham

Its the Trijicon RMR Sight 7.0 MOA Amber Dot Dual Illuminated version. there are others that take batteries but are about the same price.

  • Great review! Keep up the informative work.

  • @bigoz7

Thanks Glad you found it helpful.

  • what accent do you have, not to be insulting but you sound exactly like that bigboss airsoftfag

  • @douche1234ful

No relation to the guy. Its a Spanish accent.

  • ambide-extrius?

  • That thing does look awesome. I was considering a 9mm fnp or m&p. But I think I want this now :) The raised sights is a nice touch for those who want to buy a can for it.

  • @bsdmon

Its a bit more than the M&P but to me its well worth it. For some reason I personally like the way the fns looks. The new line of FNX guns have the same features of the FNP 45 Tactical, Maybe you can go that rout.

  • @zaldivarbigboy Yeah I also looked at the fnx model at the last gunshow.

  • @zaldivarbigboy a bit more? The FNP .45 tactical is over $1000.00 I get M&Ps for $500

  • @tactical2bagpipes Regular FNP45 is about the same.

  • @bsdmon M&P is a better designed weapon. The FNP-45 tactical is a WELL designed tactical offensive pistol, but the standard FNP-9 underclass the the M&P 9

  • Nice vid. Nice gun. Thanks. Good info.

  • I first saw this beauty in the Nutn Fancy video as well. "Whoa man, that's a race gun!"

  • @WoodymanIKE

I know man. Nutn could not afford it so he talk PFIdude down by calling his super special gun a race gun. Well guess what I bet he would love to have one. Nutn is a very practical guy and this FNP 45 is a very practical gun. Check the shooting review out. its sweet.

You know I had a chance to buy one and the only things I saw it had on top of the fn were 1. That is was more ergonomic and a bit smaller (easier to conceal and carry) 2. That it was built on an alloy frame and not polymer. But the features it did not have made me choose the fn over it. One of those features was the optic mount on the slideand the other the 15 round capacity.

  • Don't have a tac 45, but I have the case for it (going to use it for my FDE USG 9). It's good to know people who work at FN :D

  • Good job
