Humans are omnivorous. Animals have probably been eaten by us for thousands of years. It's just a fact.. Humans eat animals, may be an uncomfortable fact, but there you go. I can't say I particularly fancy eating cat myself. but that's just squeamishness.
In China it has been their custom to eat cats for millennia, and as long as their consumption does not lead to the extinction of cats, then I can't see any obvious reason for them to stop their consumption.
I don't know what you're reason is for being against, the eating of cat meat, but I imagine that it might be bound up in some Western notion of cats being cute. While that is all very well, it is still an undeniable fact that the pussy cat is a great source of protein, & if, (as during the Second World War in Britain) we had to ration food and were malnourished, pussy would be going in the pot, (as many cats did !)
