  • Very nice video!

  • does anyone remember the canoes on the pond , i think they cost 3d in old money in the 40s . also motor boats , a bit more expensive , not forgetting the ack ack guns during the war , jim ,

  • Nice video .I was in Clapham common there for a few minutes watching it .The music is so fitting too. Last time I was there for real was at a concert in the summer of 1987 ...

  • No, I wasn't born until 1959!!

  • I used to play on the common as a young boy. My parents had a house in Taybridge Rd and we used to watch the propeller driven planes coming over. Happy memories.

  • That's not Michael Horwood that lived in Taybridge Road, is it? If so, this is Robert (Bob) Ash - have lots of happy memories coming round to your house in the 50's, and when we were at Battersea Grammar School in the 60's!

  • btw, I DID have a little picnic there in the park, and then I went to see a wonderful play at the Wyndham's Theatre afterwards. A great day!

  • No idea what you mean. Please give more explanation of your question. if you are trolling i will nuke your post.

  • @ c3z712: I mean Jeremy Brett by "his", seems obvious doens't it?

  • okay, maybe I'm wrong about the house... the one at 2:25 does look like his building.

    never mind :)

  • Dont worry, i had a hard time finding it myself ! :)

  • I had a photo to guide me when I was there, but the two rows of houses do look very similar. JB's is the most left house of the right row (as seen when you're facing them from the park).

  • great vid, was there myself in April. Only, I don't think this is his old house at 0:43... It's the top floor flat of the left corner house, but the one in the row of houses to the right of this row. You can tell because the row in the vid has got white decoration things at the tops of the windows and the row with JB's flat hasn't....

anyway, it's so nice to see that so many fans enjoy the same place where he probably spent many a happy afternoon in the sun.

  • Thank you ! Glad you enjoyed the video !! It was a lovely day out. :)

  • I was very happy to see this video, because I have no opportunity to go to London . You've been my eyes...

  • A Music box!! I never thought of that !!! Thank you!! ;)

  • Beautiful!!! I love the music, as it is slightly haunting, and lingers with me.

It means a great deal to me to see this, you know. :)

Oh yes, I'm sure he was there with you... I'm sure of it! Thank you ever so much for this gem, my friend. ^_^
