well jamal...i must say that we just about twins in jam sessions...we use repetition of chords and build it up and make it sound so sick and use runs and licks when it really counts

Jamal actually has a series of videos out; Urban & Contemporary Worship and U&C Xtreme. One of the things that he says in the video is that he doesn't conform to fingerings that might be taught in more formal instructional settings. So, I guess he just does whatever is comfortable to him. I think he would encourage anyone of us to do the same.
