However, Abraham gave to Melchisidek who is a type of Christ! Who had no begining and no end,
So it would be wrong to compare him to the Pagan Canaanites all around. What to make of that, I don't know. I am not inlclined to tithe anyway, but rather to give as the Lord leads and I don't let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. Sometimes way over 20%
I am usually blessed when I give but I don't care to give to buildings, pastoral salaries, etc.
If you have money, God may want you to give more than 10%, or give time instead of money, etc. Ask God, but you also need Scriptural understanding to guide you. When a preacher teaches you something you might suspect is wrong, read the Scripture in context and see if the preacher is twisting it, and see what others have to say about the verse.
yes, thank you. I am being free from this bondage although I still feel guilty for not tithing. I take out a tenth and call it a "gift". But I want to be totally free so pray for me please thanks.
Another observation is that Abraham gave nothing of his own; he was returning with the spoils of war. He also was not given a command to tithe. We Christians have truly had the wool pulled over our eyes... God bless you once more for putting these videos up!

Hi TrueFaithAlone,
If we want to tithe like Abraham, I guess we'd have to enter a war like he did?

:) If we were to imitate Abraham, yes :)
