I'd take the BMW M3 GTS all day over the porsche. first of all I would feel much more comfortable driving around a bmw, it's less likely to be stolen. second, it's MUCH BETTER LOOKING, and a great track car in it's own right. Sure the gt3 is a little faster but I think the BMW would be better to own

@xXturbo86Xx as much as I love BMW's the Ford Mustang Boss 302 lapped Laguna Seca couple seconds quicker than the m3 at least on this model they have improved the handling. I would never buy one and the m3 always wins in my book, but with the boss 302 it has much better handling than previous muscle cars. i like to think that bmw and in particular the m3 is one of the best handling cars out there which they are, the gap is getting smaller and smaller BMW should step up the m3 because it is due

Mustang (sad ... very sad), Camaro LZ (yikes), RS5 (even), C63 (slower on track), ISF (behind), CTS-V (ahead), GT-R (ahead-er) ... If next M3 will be 450hp/3600lb ... hm ... perhaps time to look at another brand. 480/3500 then we have something to work with. Just drop in the TST V8 4.4 and tune it to 530hp ...
@goguhu I think that the weight is going to be the deal breaker on the new M3 if they don't get it down it wont be much better as BMW aren't that big on power and cant see them adding much, as much as i would love them to do just that, I think weight loss and moderate power gains while keeping naturally aspirated would be the best scenario, just look what can happen when you give a M3 CSL a little more power (533 hp) and it laps the Nurburgring in 7:22.
@nickk707 Wonder how it does that with a live rear axel ... more hp does help a bit, or is it all the semi-slick tires? BMW need to produce an CSL option (used to have Cup tires, and good lap times) ... I bet the M3 CSL is faster than the 302 on Seca ...

the porsche is quicker, but with fatter wheels and tires the m3 i quicker. I put fatter tires and wheels on my e90 m3 and lap times were improved a lot.
