  • A Bishop or Judge would probably have hoped that the poor man had money on him....so he could have bled him dry....

  • I think the most important thing people don't know is that in the time of Jesus Samaritans and Jews were enemies. They were not allowed to talk to each other let along help each other - they were in deep conflict. Jesus picked 2 enemies to Love each other and 2 highly religious leaders/teachers kept a distant. The relationship between the Jew and the inn keeper was also important - He told us to pay whoever work for you - and pay them extra if they do extra work. It's 1 of the 613 Jewish Law.

  • Amazing that 50% of people dislike the greatest parable of all...(likely to be a hipocrite, pro anti-Catholic christian, Satanist?).

  • Thanks for this parable sweet Jesus.

  • Thanks for the video. Love GS story. Actually, the Savior’s parable was not that the religious law was wrong but that their interpretation of it was wrong. The Law is clear…to love everyone. And we aren’t to learn that THEY were racist, but that WE are not to be racist and that we must love all and show compassion to all.

The men , were not Christian, they were of the house of Judah and the house of Levi. Christian’s are not a part of a nation but rather follow the teachings of Christ.

  • the message of jesus was crystal clear, religious rules are bs, and also that he was racist towards samaritans.

  • @kingbane2 Jesus' message wasn't that the religious rules were wrong, but that the practice of those laws were misguided by legalistic attitudes rather than a heart of charity, which places the interior good will for others above the mechanical, exterior following of orders. Jesus certainly wasn't racist. This parable is prefaced by The Greatest Commandment: love your neighbor as yourself. :) Who is our neighbor? Anyone along the way, regardless of religion, color, class, etc. God bless!

  • Well, I guess it's good thing the good man from Samaria wasn't a Christian.

  • @Serpent257 Hm, I look at it differently. It is through this parable of the good Samaritan that Jesus teaches us what a truly Christian heart is (and should be): compassionate and merciful.
