Check out the 12" mix of this classic boogie moment with the longer intro. Recently saw Shirley Jones perform in London alongside the delectable Jean Carne & she's still amazing as ever. Some of these current so-called 'neo soulers' out there could learn a whole lot from the likes of mssrs Jones & Carne instead of boring us to tears all trying to mimick Jill (Scott) or Erykah (Badu); Ledisi being one of the few notable exceptions to the rule.

The Emotions came out a few years before these sisters. With that said, The Jones Girls are only rivaled by the aforementioned, Emotions, and Envogue when it comes to all around vocal talent, harmonies, and equal vocal strength. Always have liked this song and video from 1983, haven't seen it in over two decades. It has a smooth groove, bassline, and of course top notch vocals from these very talented, beautiful, but under rated sisters, arguably the most under rated R&B singing group of the 80's, R.I.P. Valorie Denise Jones(0:51)1956 - 2001.

This was one dynamic group. "You Gonna Make Me Love Soomeone Else" is my favorite from the Jones Girls ( who were actually sisters). One of the sisters passed away a few years ago. Does anyone know which one it was? Please let me know. Thakns for posting this gem.
