Streamlight is the way to go, Yall' might go for brightness but you have to factor in safety too, and the Streamlight's have multiple haz-mat certifications. They are very dependable as well. Just my two cents as a firefighter.
FENIX flashlights are way better than any flashlight i have ever bought including the gladius. the FENIX L2D runs on two AA batteries and max output is 180 Lumens.
@Asiats1 Actually, made in China or not (*yawn* what a worn out argument) - It's well known that Fenix has a superb track record for quality. You can check the CPF forums for opinions from people who actually know what they're talking about.
There are so many particles of dust in the led assembly/ reflector area. There are several independent circular shapes in the beam its awful looking. My 6p led is brighter than this. They both claim 80 lumens but the gladius seems more like 50 lumens while the 6p led seems its about right. I don't know how they can advertise a piece of crap like this when the beam is such crap. I wouldn't depend my life on this light.
I purchased a genuine gladius. Where have you seen knock offs at? You must be have never seen a quality illumination tool such as Surefires. I'm sure you only have "quality" maglites.
I just wanted to say this flashlight is a piece of trash. I have nothing but SureFire flashlights and I took a chance in choosing to purchase a Night-Ops Gladius. The beam is very foggy looking when projected on the wall and its not flawless.
This is a horrible interface. Ra clicky blows this light away.

l2icel3all, you don't have a clue. Surefire lights are trash next to anything from Blackhawk or Inova.
