@RovingCounter Wrong on all accounts. Read what Mr. Welch said about Pres. Eisenhower in "The Politician." Ezra Taft Benson, the only cabinet member to serve both of Eisenhower's terms, wholeheartedly agreed with Mr. Welch. Plus JBS does not support political candidates or parties. And read "William F. Buckley: Pied Piper for the Establishment" to see how the "mainstream conservative movement" was formed, as well as all the big government failures it has had.

I think it's really strange that there is a federal "Civil Rights Commission" considering the fact that the greatest assault on our civil rights is coming from Washington.

@catwatters4 I agree. I think everyone should be treated as an individual, not as a member of a group. We are all supposed to be equal before the law. But I object to the federal government usurping powers not delegated in the Constitution.

And while most Americans, myself included, want to see everyone treated the same regardless of their color, many of us are incensed at how "civil rights" are used to increase Washington's power, and yet "fighting terrorism" is being used the same way.
