Why does everyone always relate 'going soft' with being more 'mature' ????
So it is immature to make heavy music or something?? Pantera, Metallica, and Disturbed must be a bunch of damn babies then who should grow up and make some soft music..
@guitarFan102 yeah i wasnt a massive fan of tormented...and yeah break the cycle would have been the most successful but 14 shades and dysfuction were may personal fav's
with the staind going softer, yea they have, but it could be a sign of maturity, you see it with alot of bands. staind is getting older and when your older you are usually more mature and wouldnt be as angry. also this album is alot more technical and impressive musically than the heavy ones. i love all of it. staind is just a fucking great band
@fireborn1x how can u be a staind fan and say this is better than 14shades of gray...common mate thats a stupid thing to say and the 25people who liked it are retarded......................dysfunction being their best, followed by break the cycle than 14 shades of gray
I see where you are coming from man, I really do. Being a Major Staind Fan most of my adult life I appreciate the emphasis on the heavy material they had. However, in my opinion Break The Cycle was their most impressive album both technically and musically. Just my opinion
@newyblood You do realize you're forgetting about their first album Tormented right? In my opinion Break the Cycle is the best technically and Musically. Just my opinion.
true staind fans know that 14 shades of grey and chapter 5 are by far their best albums. That being said , i love this album.... i just love it less than their last 3.
I am confused, i cant decide if i like this because i really like it or because i should.... i love this track but the album seems to lack that "staind" sound... which was starting to fade from 14shades onwards i think.... im not hating on them, i just think they have lost that edge that made them staind. Does anyone agree?
I will admit i am a huge , devout staind fan , and when i first heard this album , i didnt like it. What i like so much about staind is the lyrical depth , and this album seemed lacking. After a while though , the album slowly grew on me..... it is no Chapter V , but i still enjoy it. Especially with songs like the way i am and tangled up in you.
its nothing like their other albums.....if u like this album u appreciate staind....it grows on u.....it shouldnt if ur a die hard like me but it dose.....u have to understand the progress they have made and see it from aarons eyes......amazing album.....chapter V is still the best tho....but amazing....doesnt sound like anything else they have ever made and thats what makes it so amazing....they stay original
@schizotrobi anyone who says staind is bad is just narrow minded. they need to open their eyes to the broad perspective of music. listen hard and they just may start to like staind.

origanly when i heard this song during the credits for Transformers 2, i thought it did sound very similar to Gone Away by Offspring, thank you very much.

Least listened to song from the album on here. And, it's their heaviest from The Illusion of Progress... Next time someone says Staind sold out, they might want to look at who they have to sell their music to.

@Fireborn1x Uh dude. Actually compared to stuff off their first album they have gotten a lot softer. No problem with the bands sound now but they were harder and more of a metal band than a rock/alternative band
@Knucklehead444 Please, Post Grunge. Rock/alternative isn't good music, but Staind is really good music. They put every kind of power in their songs, so every song is a gift from heaven. (:
@eisernunion1212 Staind was pretty hard, harder than post grunge. I mean not nearly as hard as some other stuff i listen to but they have gotten softer comparably,

I can't explain, but i'd like to hear smth like price to play, runaway, falling or cross to bear. unfortunately, there are only this is it, the way i am and break away, which are about that heavy. But i anyway wanted to download the cd, not to buy it:)
this song has a hint of "For You"..like the way it sounds and stuff u know? During the "This Is It" part, it has like the energy that "For You" has..if u get what im saying..
This song is awesome!! Staind has been my favorite band since tormented. Aaron is very talented so is the rest of the band! I can't wait for the new album to come out, I hope they release a collector's edition.
They have a limited edition available for pre order on their website...first 200 people to preorder get it autographed by the band...the limited edition will have 3 bonus tracks i believe and some other extras...STAIND is the BEST! I've seen them live 3 times!

i know, about the half of the songs are...hm...soft is not the problem. I can't explain, but i'd like to hear smth like price to play, runaway, falling or cross to bear. unfortunately, there are only this is it, the way i am and break away, which are about that heavy. But i anyway wanted to download the cd, not to buy it:)
