  • what if I did the same thing and come to find out under the plaster its straw or twigs?......

  • I'm not being funny here but why would you do this when you could have just removed the paint and sanded then repainted.New plaster is more likely to crack than older set plaster matey.

Difficult to comprehend the logistic of this.

At least you're doing something rather than sitting in front of the tele eating potatoe crisps all day.Good on you mate.

  • Next time when you think about a brick wall, look for thin bricks veneer that will turn your plaster wall into a brick wall, without the noise, the dust and the problems.

Removing solid plaster only to have the weathered brick look ... is not the best way to make it happen

  • come to visit us - silk plaster at batimat2011

  • 1 hours work maximum, awful brickwork underneath, ruined perfectly good plasterwork!

  • sounds like a hilti te35, i hope i am wrong

  • would love to see the finished brick! I want to do the same thing, thanks

  • if that took you 2 days you need to get back to your office they must be dying without there I.T man

  • RIP nice thick plaster wall! I love exterior brick, but I thought exposing inside brick walls that were never meant to be seen was a '70s-'80s thing. Maybe if you sell the place to someone from a low-end suburb, they'll cover it up with some vinyl siding.

  • yay!

I've got 2 beautiful clinker chimneys in my tiny house--one runs through the kitchen wall that's been plastered over. This shows me i can get to it and maybe have a wood burning oven in my kitchen!

  • what a dumbshit. No wonder the housing market is crap, because of fools like this. He must be an Obama supporter. Dumb MF you are. Dude get back to work and join the military, get some displine or something. MorON.

  • @skimmer1844 it was actually cement-based plaster - about 2 inches of it.

  • Two days to ruin one wall? Well, at least you had fun.

  • looks like a brick wall poked full of holes :-P

  • So what did you end up doing? Leave the brick as is? Or paint?

  • @paraguitarmedic i removed the plaster, brushed it, re-pointed where it was needed and sealed it. it looks fantastic now. the rest of these people are crazy.

  • at first im like O.O hes gonna jack hammer through the wall howd u know ther was brick under ther also put up a vid of the finish result i wanna see if you got a cool brick wall or a house with three walls

  • @DJxGeist i knew it was brick because my entire house is brick construction. the wall looks great. i will have to shoot a follow-up.
