one time i saw a blacktail doe coming down a hill so i jumped in a ditch to cut it off. so once i got done crawling and got to a spot where i thought it would come, when i poked my head up it was about 5 inches from my face and it looked down and i looked up and it made us both jump!
Not that impressive. Blacktail in Western Wa. are the tamest deer on earth because of the population of humans and constant interaction. I Guarantee you that you couldn't do that in Eastern Wa. with a Mule deer or Whitetail. I live near Yelm and have been that close to 4 pt Blacktail Bucks.
im thinking with dogs barking in the background and the fact that the fawn is fearless, means you are hunting in your back yard. therefore you are not hunting. earn your kill and don't shoot pets.

I the fall they walk through my yard. A doe and a gynormous buck. I'm not an archery hunter so... He lives to come back each year. Last year he looked like he was about 250 lbs at least. Big boy

Just like a human kid...they just don't know the danger they can be in even when up and close to it.
Good footage...looks like a beautiful and healthy young Deer.
