  • It's great to see this footage. Although it was McCartney's enthusiasm that got the film done, the others weren't into it. George Harrison said he enjoyed racing around in the Mini...for the film to be shown on TV in black & white during Christmas in England must have been crap. I've seen it in Harvard Square on the big screen in color-much better! JT8800 in Boston.

  • To be attempting this about two, three months at releasing "Pepper" took huge cajones. Most "artists," especially these days, would be spent. Their handlers would tell them to cool it. For better or worse, The Beatles kept at it ... didn't have to, and invited a lot more criticism for their efforts. Simply amazing level of output and effort pre-digital age.

  • They tried to copy Ken Keseys merry prankster bus but were a bit too safe & a bit too contrived.

  • Notice in the chorus how they sing " RooLaaa, RooLaap for the mystery tour ".

There probably talking about pot ( " Roll up, roll up, for the MYSTERY tour " )

  • 4:37 "Hey, you! Get outta my shot!" Silly Paul... <3

  • I MISS YOU JOHN & GEORGE. LOVE REALLY IS THE ANSWER

  • Paul @ 4:37 That's one way to get rid of autograph seekers! :D

  • Great music but as a concept the Mystery Tour was just the sort of thing you'd expect a couple of art school dropouts to come up with. Plus the original broadcast was in black and white as I recall, and Mystery Tour just screams color. The music segments are no better or worse than 80s music videos though - so in that sense it was way ahead of its time.

  • roll up, roll up ...

  • @sqeekses if you wear that vlotjes i must say you are one of THE most stylist people of these times. Respect!

  • yeah, and lets stay there for all eternaty

  • Plymouth Hoe at the beginning, just a few yards from the place where Sir Francis Drake finished off his game of bowls before defeating the Spanish Armada.

And that’s the Headland Hotel Newquay. You can travel to those two places by Street View.

  • Plymouth WAHOOOOO

  • laughed so hard when paul pushes the little girl

  • @cutandpaste1 if the beatles are phonies then why did you watch the video you either secretly like them or have no life so you sit and say bad things about a band whos exsitance changed the shape of music forever. You can shove that up your ass with your boyfriend dick

  • beatles holy fuck

  • The obsession is your own relentless ego.

  • @cutandpaste1 you're fixated...I got ya, again. Get it, yet?

  • @cutandpaste1 Still don't get it, do you?

  • @cutandpaste1 Got ya back! It's past your bedtime.

  • @cutandpaste1 Your intellect cannot grasp it. The only phony here, is you.

  • @cutandpaste1 That's your fear speaking. Do you like seclusion?

  • @cutandpaste1 Actually, my partner Bubba would be willing to restore your balance. In fact, I'd be more than happy to arrange it. Can you take it?

  • @cutandpaste1 Everyone here knows that you're a toolbox.

  • @cutandpaste1 ...and, what is your interest here?

  • 1967, 2 yrs or 1, before they where all wearing suites! i know that was marketing them from their manager,(brian epstien) R.I.P.

ringo' is still wearing his suit in kind of fashion.

wonder if he was the only one in the beatles who was thinking , hang on! im' still enjoying what wev'e done.

  • @cutandpaste1 I wonder if you just wrote that to piss people off.

  • @cutandpaste1 Beatles vids always bring out ignorant arseholes. thanks for filling the spot, moron.

  • I want to go on the Magical Mystery Tour! :D

  • This is serious acid rock. I can hardly listen to it without flashing back. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times... I wouldn't have missed it for the world, and I wouldn't relive it for the world.

  • I ADORE this movie! It's my favorite film by The Beatles! Very enjoyable and sunny! Specially I like an episode where Fab Four and others sing the songs to the accompaniment of accordion while riding on the bus. On the other hand MMT is very surrealistic. And I like that mixture of warmth and weirdness in it.

  • Don't talk yer shite, ya prick.

  • This is good! Where did you come across this?!

  • thanks so much for such beautiful footage. Does my soul good.

  • Most of the final half was fimed in my home town.

  • I mean the last half of this particular video, not the whole film itself.

  • I was 12 in '67 and would have given anything to be on that bus! Paul was so freakin cute & John was so sexy!

  • All Beatles made amateur films, it would be amazing archive they have collected.

  • In late 60s Beatles members were pretty everyday view in London streets actually. Paul lives in well known house and some young female fans visited his home secretly several times and stole his things ("She came through the bathroom window" was real case).

  • at 4:09 george is chatting with a cute blonde....i hope he boned her...

  • Today me and my friend were chilling in the car and talking about the Beatles and magical mystery tour, when on the radio a woman requested to play magical mystery tour, the next 2 minutes were spent dancing to such joyous music.

my heart goes out to the woman who requested magical mystery tour, God bless you for making my day! :,)

  • It must have been tough to 'act natural' ('nother Beatles reference) when you've got cameramen all around you........

  • 4:37 IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE

  • @Paulmaclover1234 I know nañkshdalsdasgdakgdsagkasdgjasdg Oh, I love him. Wanna be that girl. LOL.

  • 1967 is my favorite Beatle year. I want to live in 1967 forever in London or San Francisco.

  • well that's an invitation, so make a reservation (Pretty Please!)

  • 3:39 GEORGE!!! : ) : )

  • You are right about the bodyguards especially New York, perhaps John Lennon would still be alive today....

  • Love this video

  • nice video

  • I love John Lennons sense of style... So much like mine...

  • i love john's tie

  • @musterdable they were unique.

  • I wonder what format they were shooting in. There's some of their tiny brownies of cameras visible in the anthology videos to "It won't be long" & "Across the universe".

Those clunky boxes sure don't look like Super8 or Single8 which were both introduced in 1965. Plus, Paul said he'd experiment a lot with double exposure, of which you can see a lot in "A day in the life", & you can't do that on Super8 as the cartridge ain't re-windable.

In any case, these flicks sure deserve a modern scan.

  • Another thing about that time is nobody paparazz'id them. photo shoots were done for the right reasons, both the music and the artistic impression. There will never be an era like that again.

  • so cool makes u feel like u were there :)

  • I am the Walrus is so cool.

  • This looks like Plymouth and Newquay.....It IS Plymouth and Newquay. Two of my fave places....Would loved to have seen 'em there though.

  • This is filmed in Plymouth and Newquay. Two of my fave places.. HArdly seem any different. Weird.

  • 4:37-4:40 lol Paul's like, "Move kid, you're in my shot!" XD

  • How amazing you are <3

  • They are SOO CUTE!! <3 <3 <3

  • Let's build a time-machine and go all there :D parttyyyy

  • @Nonnel81 Would luv to ... !!! :-)

  • @tunenito count me in

  • @Nonnel81 i'm working on one, but i need help! HELP I NEED SOMEBODY, HELP NOT JUST ANYBODY!

  • @Nonnel81 Wish I could too but I'd hate all that ciggy smoke..

  • @Nonnel81 I WOULD SO BE THERE TOO!!! WOOOO!!

  • @Nonnel81 That would be freaking awesome!

  • @Nonnel81 yayy im al in

  • @Nonnel81 aw man i wish

  • @Nonnel81 I know everybody say the same thing, but I have to say too..... I hate my generation.... I'm 21 now.... wish I was 21 back then! :(

  • @shroombudy Bro!!!!!!!!

  • @Nonnel81 Yeah !....MAGIC ALEX can build it !

  • Paul is probably the only man in the world who can wear a sweater vest and still make it sexy as hell.

  • look how accessible the beatles were to their fans..no burly menacing body guards and no posse's...the stars today who have like zero talent act like their royalty...the beatles live on and on...todays imposters will be quickly forgotten...

  • @SkunkDroppings So true ...! :-)

  • @tunenito no actually there is a band around that is still acceissibe to fans you just have to have a open mind!!!!

  • @SkunkDroppings Agree with a lot of what you said, but remember, the Beatles were accessible to their fans and one of them was killed for it. Had he had menacing body guards and a posse... I guess we'll never know... but he wouldn't have gotten shot FIVE times, that's for sure. I understand why anyone in the public eye would want protection. Lotta nuts out there. Whether their talent warrants their fame or not, no1 deserves to fear for their life just bc they are successful at what they do.

  • @SkunkDroppings unfortunately this is what might have been caused John's death afterall... George looks so "fresh" as if he was in the 80's.

  • @SkunkDroppings Thats bullshit, they were NOT accesible at all, nobody THAT famous can be,even if they want to!!This was filmed during Magical Mystery Tour, the people you see are extras not fans!!

  • @SkunkDroppings This was later in there career, early on in 1963/64 you would not have got within a mile of them, no-one could even speak to them, all there calls were vetted

  • @SkunkDroppings If only John hadn't been so accesible to that jerk who's mistakenly been called a fan, he'd still be here =(

  • unique!!!!!

  • The story of The Beatles is so beutiful..

  • wooooww awesome whered u find this at?

  • This came from a dvd with some old Beatles newsreels.

  • @tunenito where can i get the dvd? (: plz help!

  • GREAT

  • Can't believe the original magical mystery tour bus nowadays is made into a snackbar, they should have put it in a friggin museum.

  • beatles are unbelievebly great!!

  • There always the girls who splitt all mans good friendship =((...

  • OMG! paul is so .....cute!!

  • Well, what else was the actual Magical Mistery Tour but a glorified home movie?

  • at 4:37 Pauls like GET OUT OF MY SHOT DAMN

  • the beatles were funny guys!! i love paul and that little girl who is she?

  • @peaceluvvingchica

    Its little Nicola I think

  • @peaceluvvingchica It's either Nicola or Paul's step sister, Ruth who was born in 1960. :3

  • I think I need to stop watching these now,the tear's are blocking my view.

  • @NoyzyBoyZ3 eww.

  • This movie really wasn't good at all, not like the two previous ones. Besides that they had problems organizing it without their manager.

But there are two, three nice scenes.

I really like the "promo video" of I am the Walrus.

  • nobody really wanted to do this accept for paul, and if paul didn't force them to work so much they would have recorded about 100 less songs then they did... when brian epstein died everything they did became a choir to them, it's no wonder they split.

  • @ledZeppelin7680 - disagree with you. the beatles would have split up anyway, regardless of the cause. paul didn't force anyone to do anything that they were unahppy with.

  • I never said that was the only reason. and according to George, John and Ringo paul did, so I don't know what sources you have that would know better than 3 of the beatles but apperantly they're wrong.

  • can't really be misquoted when you're actually watching them say things on video...

  • @ledZeppelin7680 - i see.

  • @ledZeppelin7680 - well, people can always be misquoted can't they? who knows what to believe? it was all a long time ago now.

  • 3:40 george dancing!

    i love all their outfits

  • Great Film !! they don't even have to do anything, just seeing them on film is and experience.

  • @Abbeyroad5555 thats pretty much what the whole movie is lol. nk this movie was a disaster.

  • what was paul doing at 4:36?

  • @beatlesquarrymen

like did he even know that girl?!

  • I wanna fuck him so bad right now.

  • who paul?? my name is paul aswell

  • @beatlesquarrymen WHO???!

  • Good video here, I live near Newquay and am currently studying i plymouth its cool to think that one of the worlds greatest bands ever visited and made a movie in a place I can relate to.

  • Great outtakes...I appreciate it a lot :-))! Thank you so much for posting.

  • 4:36 aaaaa paul is really cute

  • its strange, this was a related video to "pants on the ground"

  • LOL!! John Lennon would have approved, I think!

  • somehow i think he would

  • awesome clips 5 stars

  • LOL, at 1:10 John kinda looks like he's trying to hit on Paul but doesn't quite know what to do with himself XD so sweet ^^

George looks funny in the enormous jaket :D

  • 04:40 - Who is that girl?

  • paul looks so bloody fit in this flim i cant get over it I LOVE PAULLL!!!! i love that jumper he's wearing!!

  • he was being playful with her, can't u tell the difference u fucking moron?

  • paul is so handsome, cute, paul you are the best singer of the world i´m crazy for you

  • no. well, exaggerating a bit, but i reckon that would have made the news these days... people haven't got enough to talk about...

it's funny though, you can see everyone loves paul. I LOVE PAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    But John is still better!

  • 3:39 I love George's little dances...lol. I love when he does them in AHDN and at the end of the Hello Goodbye video also

    <3

  • Had some great teenage moments just metres away from where they were sat on the grass, amazing the beatles forever!

  • me too! slthough my teenage days are still continuing...

are you a janner too then?

  • wait you really were there and saw them? Oh that sounds so great :] I'm a teen now so its too late for anything like that, but did you get to tlak to them?

  • :16 is the picture that hung in johns study does anyone know if its still around?

  • Thanx for putting this on it's FAB !!

  • Thanks, Splitsofa & everyone for the great comments!

  • What happen to this country which become so dreadful? in what ways?

  • John looks so handsome in that brown suit, and that scene of him chatting with Paul is precious !!! Then a dog distracts them :)

    1:10

  • That's my favorite part as well. It's one rare instance where you see just two old friends just hanging out and sharing a laugh.

  • Nice to see britain in the 60s before it became a police state where expression was allowed. Now sadly this country has become so dreadful its unbelievable i wonder what lennon would think of it today..

  • imprisoned?? for being playful??? you are indeed a fucking idiot if u can' tell the difference, nobody gets 'imprisoned' for playing you IDIOT...it's dickheads like u that actually do get people imprisoned for absolutely nothing because of your dirty twisted minds

  • *sighs at idiot on youtube*.

oh fuck off it's quite obvious that i'm disgusted by the idea of someone getting done for that. i'm just saying it could happen in this day and age's nanny state if that little girl made a complaint. not that she would just if she did. course i can tell the difference between messing about and paedophilia you twat.

I heart John and Paul for-fucking-ever.

  • then don't say such STUPID things, THINK for yourself (onya George!)...u should be directing that crap where it's warranted, like at Michael Jackson's tombstone!

  • yeah OK...

  • That's his step sister you freak!!! Her name is Ruth McCartney! No big brother would be in prison for playing with his little sister! Geez! It's your type of sick minded people who mess up the world!! You and your, "Ooohh he'd go to prison for that!" I mean, what the heck is your problem?

  • lol. *sighs at yet another idiot on youtube*...

Like I already said below, in my first reply to junglequeen (another idiot) i was simply saying it would be taken seriously in this day and age if the girl complained whether she was his sister or not. Kids these days are obsessed with their 'rights' and know how to get someone in real trouble if their childish minds decide to. social comment. that's all. of course he wasn't hurting her or molesting her you fucking idiot.

  • Um, no I think YOU'RE the idiot. I'm a kid and I would never act that way. You're probably just a stupid grow up who thinks they know everything about how us kids think. Thankfully, you're wrong.

  • @TheYellowSubmarine13 oh shut up you stupid little girl, I'm 18 so there is no 'us kids' about it. Most of us wouldn't act that way, but a lot do. That's all I'm saying. Now fuck off please.

  • About 4:40, there's nothing wrong with what he did. It's just a big brother playing around with his sister, like big brothers do. Nothing weird there. People need to stop being so sensitive. It was cute.

  • @ johnnyblunder -if you think the u.k's bad think about how we americans feel with all these healthcare reform bills comming out and how obama is doing nothing for this country

  • George Bush done a lot of damage for the U.S while he was president, he made a lot of enemies..

  • Bush didn't make new enemies, johnnyblunder. They were the same enemies of America long before Bush took office.

  • Change you can believe in. =P

  • That was cool! I like the part where Paul is playing with that little girl! The whole time I was thinking "Why can't that be me? Why can't that be me??" *Sigh* I wish that was me.......

  • Oh! George...

    =]

  • i LOVE john's jacket at 5:02 so MUCH.

  • i love paul's funky clothes!!

  • So cute! Paul's the only man on this planet who can make sweater vests look sex-a-licious! RIP Johnny and Georgie.

  • I agree completely haha

  • I love Mal Evans

  • Ja sowie ich xD

  • gah John is so sexual... something about the way he moves.. *faints*
