Hi u can't install lion on internal hard drive. u have to choose external hard drive. because the the internal hard drive formatted as MBR format and this format allowed u to divide the hard drive to 4 Partitions. and u cross the limit for this format. so u can't install mac os the internal hard drive. but if u format the whole drive as GUID format u can't format it as u want.

But i can't update it to 10.6.8 due to a incompatibility of Intel HD Graphics. Another incompatibility for this chipset is the installer of Lion: i can't reach the installer, only i can see the apple logo and the loading image. Please help me i can't boot Lion installer with HD5470M.

Hi! I also have a HP G62 computer. I want to install Lion with UniBeast method but i was stopped by three system partitions (SYSTEM, HP_TOOLS and RECOVERY), and i can't install Lion in a single partition because it wants the HFS+ partition type. What can i do?

@Niggerx23 Sorry for late, there isn't a driver for this model for wireless networking card on Mac os x. so you have to change the wireless card to the same apple wireless card. or you have to use 3d party wireless card by use to use it as wireless connection.

hey man. I have a HP G62 also, almost the same as yours. mine has i3, but same GPU. I installed Lion, applied the patched kernel, but the boot process just stops, I can not get to the OSX GUI. I dont know why. Do you have any idea?

@juancarlos0208 battery life on OSX goes very fast because OSX used the performance-state of the CPU that cause short battery life but there are in internet some posts how to make OSX recognize C-State for long battery life.

@iBofter actually we have problem as hp users with intel processor because it didn't use the same kernel that apple used so most of hp laptop used a patch kernel to run all cores.

@MDragonFang Hi, first of all this is laptop has amazing design, slim , backlit keyboard and specs with amd hd 6750M I think mac os x installation will go straight foreword. actually i never used samsung Laptop before, if you interested to install Mac OS X on this machine we will help you.

Yes, i've followed the "Forced EDID" method; it helped the system work with full resolution. But color banding is another issue.

Do you mean that your internal LCD display working perfectly with that method without color banding?

I have Lion successfully installed on my acer laptop following the similar method. My machine uses the same ATI 5470m, and it can run full resolution. Only one problem i get is the internal laptop display got color banding (un smooth gradient) (external display through analog is ok, not yet try dvi connection).

Do you have the similar problem on your system?
