this movie i saw ehwn i was 10 years old in 1983....i have to say even though it was a light comedy it really changed my life. I took up bicycle racing because of it and found a life long love affiar with cycling..Like his chrachter i grew up in red neck winston salem NC..was an outcast because my dad was a PHD in music and my mom was a ballet teacher..I was the (werid kid) on the bike..but all these years later people recall me riding and respect all that and im so proud I am STILL a cyclist!
@sprintbass Yeah, I was about 12 when this movie played all that summer on HBO. I must have watched it 10 or 20 times. It was great. Althought I was already into cycling, BMX, and I used to still cycle, took a Trek Mtn. Bike from Florida to Seattle with 1 friend in 1995, 43 days, 3100 miles. Haven't rode much since however. I may start cycling again. May try to get my wife interested as well.
He was great as "Jack." He could've continued in the story arc for the 4th season of "Profiler" if not for Ally Walker wanting to leave the show-eventually succeded by Jamie Lunar as the second Profiler-4th season only.
That was what so great about "Profiler" was the underlying tension between Samantha Waters(Ally Walker) and "Jack"-he was so obsessesed with her and there was kind of a sexual tension between the 2 characters;moreso on Jack's part.
The boxset of Season 1 sadly doesn't include episode# 4 as it had legal copyrights due to using a Sting song(that's what I read somewhere) awhile back. That's why it doesn't appear. Sting's music publishers/copyright owners should go ahead and give the rights already-JEESUZ!!! lol! Later.
I read that somewhere too, I laughed so hard because it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Honestly, why not just let them use the song in one episode? What's so wrong about that? Anyway, great talking to you. Hope to catch up later! :D
Yes, it was alright for network viewing but no rights for the dvd release. Man, that sucks 'cause I'm short one Profiler episode and I probably haven't seen that particular episode-not that I can remember. By the way, when I saw D at end of your last post-your not Dennis Christopher by any chance? lol!
Hooray for Dennis Christopher. I've seen "Fade to Black" and his portion of "Necronomicon"; he's excellent. I wish I had the power to make films in Hollywood; I'd have him star in my sci-fi TV series idea.
I love Dennis Christopher!!!! Thank for making this video, it's very good^^

Why is there this awful music from the 90s accompanying this video from 1979?

I agree, as much as I would love to defend the show because I love McMahon, Davi and Fraley, the show went downhill without Jack.

Precisely. Although I have yet to see a few episodes in the beginning of season 1, and season 4... I've seen enough to agree wholeheartedly with you.
