I marched with the Baylor University Golden Wave Band (Baritone...Class of 2003). Hearing stuff like this never gets old. Gay or not...lame or leet...that's your opinion. For us Baylor Alumni, the show is unique. Sure it may not be as "spectacular" as the Texas Script of The Longhorn Band (TU.../gg), the "Night Light" Show by the Goin' Band of Raiderland, or even the Classic Impossible Drill by the Fightin' Texas Aggie Band, but oh well...A show is a show. Kudos to Baylor. Sic'em Bears!
You know I remember thinking that this was a unique halftime show for Baylor to do. But when I saw OU do the exact same thing a month later I knew that both bands were just equally lame.
I'm a BU alumni, and I have to say I never saw the band break into a dance sequence during a halftime show. It's not very common coming from a mostly all-white band. Keep breaking those stereotypes. GO BU!!
I am in the Baylor marching band. And if there is a similarity from any other past performance, most of us, if not all of us, had no idea. It was "coreographed" by an upper classman. It was a lot of fun, and people went crazy for it.
thats awesome. our colorguard captains choreographed ours. yeah people went crazy for ours too. is yalls whole band going to come up to the ou vs. baylor game this weekend?
Unfortunately, no. Our whole band is not going. Only 80 of us are going to play in the stands at OU. The whole band already went to two away games. I just hope our football team scores once...
the pride of oklahoma (OU) performed and danced this also this past saturday and will do so again this coming saturday when they play baylor. what a coincidence haha. if you search "ou and thriller" you can watch the videos of the pride performing it..
Hmmm. Oklahoma State played this same arrangement, only a year earlier. And the dance choreography looks suspiciously similar... but it's all good. Good performance, Baylor. :)
I marched with BUGWB in the late 80's. That cured me of wanting to be a musician FOREVER.
