Disney ads on the `90s X-Men series DVDs has nothing to do with Disney's buyout of Marvel this week. It has something to do with Buena Vista (a branch of Disney, probably their closest next to Pixar) owning the rights to the series back in the day and still retaining them (I think Fox was also in the picture, and of course Marvel--so a complicated ownership/rights issue prevented the series from being released until just this Spring).

W & X-Men will see full season releases, they're planned.

Yeah man, no problem, I understood that already. I was just clearing up the reason for you why there were Disney trailers on the `90s animated X-Men releases from April, back when Disney didn't own Marvel. Because the takeover DIDN'T explain that, it was due to the shared rights/Buena Vista thing.

If Disney is smart, they won't put Hannah Montanna ads in the trailers section of Iron Man 2. That would put off a lot of people. But we'll see how they handle things, it's all wait-and-see for now.

Far as their TV-series-from-films go, the only ones I ever saw were The Little Mermaid's (seemed mediocre/unnecessary from the several eps I caught) and the Aladdin series that I think I caught most of (which actually had some substance now and again and bridged the gap between the second and third films in that series decently). Dunno how the Hercules, Tarzan, Emporer's New Groove, and short lived Atlantis shows turned out. But yes, Disney churns out cheapquels like crazy and milks endlessly

When they give the reigns to the right creators and give 'em a bit of freedom, sometimes quality results. Much of Pixar's output. Some of Disney's animated classics (regardless of the cheapquels that follow, the originals are still there to enjoy). Original properties like Gargoyles (still holds up, very well-written/acted, worthy of adult viewers, I think even GayComicGeek/Paul is a fan) and Gummi Bears (for kids mostly, but polished nonetheless) were great Disney outputs, far as TV goes.

Well, for youtube at least Disney is Youtube friendly for now, so Marvel hopefully stays that way as well. Marvel has laid about 15 copyrights onto my videos (rightfully so) a few months ago but stopped when they could have gone for about 150 of my videos.

Disneyland does have Gay Days every summer. It's a HUGE Gay Pride event. They aren't as uptight as you would think. Also, they own the same network that produces LOST, and they never watered that down for the kids.
