  • I always wondered what Hitchcock's place in Scott's Valley looked like. Thanks so much for enlightening me. A great video.

  • Thank you very much for sharing with the youtube world a small part of your life though this great medium...I enjoyed my Kenrg journey....well onto TonjesML now...Thanks again.

  • Well, thanks for all the comments - Come back anytime!

  • One beautiful estate. Nice music.

  • Wonderful photography. Beautiful estate. I've never read nor seen anything of the great director/producer's life. Tis one thing I love about Youtube is that there are people who provide skillfully opened windows such as this to the environs of our greatest and brightest--more than just the glue to all that is good. Thanks for this tour, Sir!!

  • You are quite welcome, sir. Sorry there were no exploding heads.

  • What a lovely and relaxing video! Great photos, interesting history - to say the least, and perfect music choices. :)

The wine glass scenery shot was not pretentious at all; it was all fabulous.

You looked very happy but something tells me the tasting had a little somethin' somethin' to do with that ;)

    Very enjoyable!!

    Thanks for the tour, Ken!

  • Thanks - Glad you enjoyed. I'm pretty sure I would have been happy touring the estate with or without wine... but wine always helps ;^)

  • It looks like a beautiful place and a lovely day.

  • And excellent wine, too. Great day.

  • Quite a place! Great tour!!!

  • Thanks!

  • Wonderful, Ken. Thank you!

  • Thank you!

  • What a beautiful place. I can see why Hitchcock made it his home. Did you get any wine tasting whilst you were there?

  • Oh, yeah! Quite a bit of wine tasting. They are quite generous with the pours.

  • Thanks for sharing!

That was a load of wine and Hitchcock... I think I'll take a look if I have any cheese lying around.

  • A nice sharp cheddar would go nicely.

  • This inspires me to go rent the movie "Bottle Shock" again. Have you seen it yet?

  • We missed Bottle Shock in the theaters, but it's on the Netflix list.... we'll get to it soon.

  • Well, who dunnit? Was it Colonel Mustard in the study with the candlestick? Or perhaps Miss Scarlett in the bathroom with the perfume?

  • I think it was Alma in the kitchen with a trout.

  • Good times!

  • You bet. Cheers!

  • Excellent video and good to have you posting back over here again!:)

  • I'm appalled at how little I've posted lately. Too many things going on in "real life" and other projects scattered all over. But you can never get rid of me entirely.

  • Quality pics

  • Thank you!

  • How wonderful. Between you and OhKurt, I get to enjoy some really beautiful scenery. Thanks for the video!!!

  • We do what we can for you ;^)

  • I'm feeling the incredible urge to go watch Sideways now! Love wine country!

  • Great movie, and Paul Giamatti is an amazing actor. But I won't drink any more Merlot!

  • We did the Sideways tour around Paso Robles. It was a great trip! This on the other had was more like touring San Simeon in a way - with the beauty and the history. Thanks for taking us along!

  • I don't think I've drunk any F*&^in Merlot since watching that years ago...heheheh Red Zin all the way!

  • Now that was fascinating. Just beautiful and to think of the people that have been there. I am a Jimmy Stewart fan

  • What's most amazing is that so few locals are aware of this amazing bit of "Hollywood" history that's in our midst. I've truly waited for years to have the opportunity to get inside the gates. I was not disappointed.

  • The shot of the wineglass against the scenery at 1:06 is fantastic.

And nice to see Mrs. RG posing happily too.

    :-)

The estate itself is as beautiful as it is large.

  • Glad you liked the mountain through the wine - I was afraid that shot was a little pretentious. The Mrs was surprised to find herself on YouTube this afternoon, but she had to agree wit was a good picture.

  • its all those trees, the moss on the fence, and the little pathway at 1:21. Wow, would love that....thanks for sharing...very tranquil....~Raven

  • It's an amazing home, the pathways and stairs and courtyard after courtyard. Just fascinating, even without the history of the Hitchcocks.

  • Yum! Thanks Ken! A nice reprieve from all the bad news stories going around!

  • It certainly is a good escape to go to these winery events. If we could only do it on a daily basis...

  • Beautiful Home... Thanks Ken an Jason

  • Hey, mi casa es tu casa, stop by anytime.

  • lucky dog

  • Sometimes I think so ;^)
