for one...it wasn't a sharp B. I pulled out my pitch pipe and it's a pure B. And secondly, even if the original song was in Bb, this is an arrangement. They can sing in whatever key they want to. My quartet does it all the time. If a key is too high or too low, or we just don't like the sound we produce in a certain key, we just sing it in a different key.
