  • @JonnySeriously u sure?? o.o cause they look abnormaly huge lmao xD

  • marian kind of sounds like cinderella

  • the little boy is soooo adorable!!

  • matthew is gorgeous! and the barbershop quartet is amaaaazing

  • i would like to be there for the moment the school board guys realize that hill tricked them again lol

  • I love it when the people so pleasantly acknowledge the quartet (1:23 and 4:25). You just can't help but smile when you're in the presence of these guys. Or any quartet for that matter.

  • winthrop is fun

  • i like how Harold Hill uses his receipt as a testimonial.(:

and the Quartets get distracted so easily, its funny.!

  • Ah. Back when Gary, Indiana was not one of the crime capitals of the States....

  • Lida Rose=Best Barbershop Number in the whole SHOW!

  • did they rly look hard for the replacements for the bills

  • Lida Rose is probally one of the best songs:)

  • Wow... that kid cannot hold a tune

  • @LaMostraESopra He has to sing with a lisp, which is like ten times harder. Besides, he's young.

  • i love the quartet in this version! they're perfect <3

  • EVERY movie needs an ADD quartet.

  • @MissWings460 every movie just needs a quartet. period.

  • kristin chenowth... what a beautiful voice.... <3

  • The quartet is the key to the whole story, because it shows that Professor Hill isn't simply a con man--in spite of himself, he IS a "music man," who can transform four bickering school board members into a harmonizing quartet with a wave of his hand--"this very hand!" And I call that grace: the first big step on the road to heights of redemption.

  • i thought they were saying light a rose :)

  • i thought i said light a rose XD

  • Kristin's voice is like perfect for this part

  • we should stop criticizing, and just be thankful,we still have great and very rare performers like them nowadays. They're all excellent, and kristen's voice is perfect, beautiful!so let's just enjoy the movie.

  • I love the song Lida Rose!!! It's my favorite of the whole musical....and paired with Will I Ever Tell You, it's just beautiful!!

  • @dreaminginbandw: singing lida rose and will i ever tell you simultaneously is really hard lol

  • @julzikins11209 hahaha...very true!! My sisters and I have tried before! :D

  • i hate this movie they took a classic and ruined it

  • @idiotrich This movie is amazing!! How can you say that they ruined it?

  • Comment removed

  • @idiotrich

Would you like to know what I hate? Close minded people.

There's a reason the word 'idiot' is in your username.

  • I HATE Dutch angle shots!

  • Will I Ever Tell You is my favorite song in this whole musical!!!!!!!!!! ^_^ <3

  • the sync is off with the video

  • Ohhhh how cute!

  • Omg j'aime cette chanson 2:25

  • @cobbalexandra huh?

  • i m in the quartet. i m jacey.

  • Love this version of the music man

  • Doesn't anybody recognize the anvil salesman as Harold from the RED GREEN show?? Also remember him in a star trek episode...

  • which star trek ep?

  • He was also in Stargate SG-1. That's what I recognize him from at least

  • @samanthacarter8 me too!!

  • There wasn't 50 stars on the flag in 1912....or about 1912

  • Look at it... its a 4 rows with 12 stars... minus alaska and hawaii. the current flag has alternating rows short/long.

  • Hahahaha true. We just finished this show at my school and we could only get the 50 star flags, I pointed it out. :P

  • I love those two songs together!

  • I love Lida Rose~ <3 Quartet + Marian = Amazing~ <333

  • Well at my school im in the boy's band

  • i get to sing this song im winthrop @ my school

  • i LOVE LOVE LOVE the soung lida rose but were missing a skool board member so we had 2 cut it out

  • the boy that plays Winthrop looks like the old Winthrop's identical twin :P hehe he's so cute!

  • This is my fav song from the music man. Id love to sing it with a quartet like this.

  • haha! i get to in my school play this year!!!!!!i'm bass....

  • "Say there old timer, do you know where I can find Elm Street ?"

    "Yer"

    walks away :D hahhaahaahahahahah

  • Oh noes, in about 50 years, Freddy Krueger will kill many people here...

  • Why doesn't the mayor get the credentials himself?

I don't get it? She hates him all through the begining and then all of a sudden she loves him?

  • she starts to like him because she sees how sweet he is to wintrhop and how he made her so happy... trust me i play harold hill in this musical i know it by heart

  • for one...it wasn't a sharp B. I pulled out my pitch pipe and it's a pure B. And secondly, even if the original song was in Bb, this is an arrangement. They can sing in whatever key they want to. My quartet does it all the time. If a key is too high or too low, or we just don't like the sound we produce in a certain key, we just sing it in a different key.

  • ah, the beauty of transposing! :)

  • In the 1962 movie, "Lida Rose" was sung A Capella in F# by the quartet, then transposed directly to G for "Will I Ever Tell You" and the wrangle). In the 2003 movie, it was sung in G throughout..

  • I thought it started higher than I remember -- I don't mind it necessarily, but I do miss that scoop into "Will I Ever Tell You."

  • Yes, it's definitely in a higher key.

  • librarian/pianist/chef? such talent!

  • Is it just me or is the sound off almost the whole movie?

  • no it is a little off...

  • Since the last part, it's been off. :(

  • Lmao. When proff. Hill bows out the chortet should of follow him. :)

  • God, they get so easily distracted. XDDDDD

  • they hav SAS (short attention spans)

  • Charlie Cowell is the one static character throughout the whole story. He starts out bitter and ends bitter.

  • "Lida Rose/Do I Love You?," that is.

  • Yes, thank you! This is my favorite song of the show :)

  • I wish I could distract people as well as Harold Hill does.... LMFAO. Or I guess I could say that I wish the rest of the world was as well trained as the buffalo bills and the rest of the cast. LOL. Thanks a million for uploading all this!!

  • I hope this gets some people interested in joining their local barbershop chorus. It's a music form that needs preservation. These close harmony songs did it for me so that I joined Sweet Adelines.

  • i know some people who actualy can be the dapper dans for this...and one leads my friends female barbershop chorus

  • out school is doing this musical too! i'm only in the chorus tho

  • It's called "Lida Rose"

  • i love her vocals they are AMAZING!! I like the first movie first but this was a VERY GREAT remake!!

  • great song but it should have had even counts it was better that way.

  • we had this play at my middle school a few weeks ago..

the kid that played Winthrop was sooooo adorable!!!!!!!

  • It's so funny because Gary is one of the most disgusting cities in Indiana now. Must have been nice back then. lol.

  • I love this song especially in Kristin's beautiful voice <3

  • Light a rose im home im home again rose. I love that song!

  • the sound comes later than the

words do! is it just me or...no?

    && i hate her hat too:D

  • YA.. hahaha.... XD

  • wow... Kristin is REALLY workin that hat!

    lol - man its ugly...

    I love kristin tho!!

  • repulsive hat!!!

    i hate it!!

  • Marion's hat looks like a cook's hat. lol

  • Ha ha, it totally does! :]

  • Haha, I love how Professor Hills always tricks The Barbershop Quartets into singing so he can get away clean!

  • Long live barbershop quartets!!!

  • Aw, that look at 5:40 is so heartbreaking! Debra Monk and Kristin Chenoweth are so great as mother/daughter characters! And I didn't like the hat either, but wow was the song great!

  • Debra Monk also played Kristin Chenoweth's mother in the sitcom "Kristin" which was cancelled after 6 episodes but was a really good show. there's clips of it on youtube if I'm not mistaken

  • I know, I'm shamelessly addicted to watching them!

  • What an awful hat!!!! But what great singing!!!

  • This song turned me on to Cheno, and eventually Wicked. I LOVE THIS! THE UPLOADER IS A GOD/GODDESS! YOU ARE MY FUCKING HERO! MARRY ME NOW!

  • This guy is more slippery than an eel! And those who touch him may get electrocuted. This song ROCKS!
