I love cooking as well and needed some extra tips, hell I changed some of my FUCKING WAYS Altogether LOL.

  • @papercuts777 I consider myself an excellent cook but you are right we never stop learning. Some people just have the knack and that would be you. I also know it takes many years to become this good. Been at it for close to 40 yrs myself. You are showing me new tricks and for that I thank you.

  • @Tonithenightowl To be honest with you, I look at a couple of vids and then just do what comes natural from past experience. More truth, I never worked in a restaurant unless I was allowed to drink on the job...lots! So, I learned real fast how to whip the pans around because booze was for the 'cooks', none for the line cooks etc. But even as a line cook I was trading steak dinners for drinks to the staff to keep me 'tilted'. hahaha

  • I just tried this recipe. I didnt use egg wash though. instead i used a light batter to wet my chicken pieces. kind of like how you did the onion rings.

    Man! that was the best friend chicken i ever had. Just make sure to add lots of salt. Tender, juicy and flavorsome.

  • sigh tried making this but failed miserably. i think either the oil burned or the temperature was off because i ran out and bought some 3$ thermometer from canadian tire, which wasnt really accurate. even after soaking in buttermilk>flour>eggwash>flour­, when it came out the oil the crust was really thin and it looked fucked up, was kinda pissed and ended up stopping frying half way and throwing everything.

  • If it's any conselation, it took a couple of tries before i got it, too. I hate it when u have toss the whole fucking thing out. Pisses me off for days. This is not a beginner recipe. I admit it's hard to get it all right.

    Building bud extracts or just plain cooking is one thing but being drunk, no shirt on, boiling oil, handles sticking out...i'm not setting good examples.

    This is the way i learned to cook, at 20 yrs. Beer in 1 hand pan in the other. Nothing has changed.

  • I did this one by eye and this is what i used for the flour mix: 4 cups AP Flour 4 Tbsp Salt 2 Tbsp Pepper 2 tbsp onion powder 2 Tbsp Paprika 2 Tbsp Garlic powder

    Refrigerate for 3 hrs in buttermilk to cover...

    WITH: Hotsauce to taste More blk pepper Little more salt

  • Then boil in oil, 350ish

    Till disired color is reached, about 9 mins.
