If you right click on the selection menu you can choose the non-sighted variant. This is also the same with the Marksman M-21 SWS.

They are not removing the scope. They made it so that if you right click when requesting you get scope for example and if you left click, ironsights.

its the other way around, left click -> normal kit (usualy with scope), right click ironsights / other gun (militia have this)
