  • whatch here an easy easy way to install windows 7 youtube.com/watch?v=R6ftazvCVR0

  • youtube.com/watch?v=R6ftazvCVR0

  • How am i suppose to insert vista recovery disc if i don't have a CD/DVD drive

  • Buy a new computer and take the CD/DVD drive out of that.

  • did we REALLY need to see you run internet explorer, cancel what it was doing, and then bringing up google? Next time you do a tutorial video, just concentrate on the steps themselves and forget the flotsam.

  • dude your focusing style sucks

  • Lost me at "Burn recovery disc"....

  • Thanks a ton.

    This vid saved me thrice.

    :)

  • Where does it ask if you want to install 64bit or 32? Cause im seeing on the box of mine it just says it includes both. Help me out

  • if you just execute setup from SOURCES directory in WIN7DVD directory, you can still install windows with PROPER C: format I think. I got my computer HANG UP on completing installation and I have to re-install XP from CD ISO. Microsoft should provide a CD boot media with an option to put installation Source on a non-primary partition on hard disk.

  • or easeyr get EASYBCD if you have windows iso

(like me) and you can boot from the iso! without burning anything cuz idk bout u but i searched this because i dont have a dvd drive :)

  • Soooooooooooo complicated!!! could you write the steps down in the description?

  • That is slow and confusing (for someone who don't know the command lines like me :P). I guess i have to buy an external DVD drive then. :(

  • thanks, my dvd drive was nakd. and this solved my prob just nice. !!

  • @cyberjackcyberjack You're welcome...!

  • how can i upgrade my window 7 home to professional without deleting the great features thaqt came with it ?????

  • Comment removed

  • @ixy1987 That can only be done using the DVD from within Windows itself...

  • Quick question:

does installing window 7 professional on a new window 7 home premium delete the already installed preloaded sofwares and programs ??????

  • @IdeazUnlimited You forgot to mention that you need to put a parameter in bootsect comand "/nt60". Ex : "bootsect /nt60 C:" :) Just to mention that no one gets confused.

  • hey i have a setup of windows 7 in my hdd can i install it from there. by click on install windows 7...

  • next time my friend you need to tell us that x64 and x86 are not compatible, and rename the video as upgrade, not a clean install, this is what i got and probably some other people:

"This version of the file is not compatible with the Windows it is being executed on. According to your computer's system properties determine which version of the software you need x86(32bit) or x64(64bit) then contact the software developer

    ."

  • @lay4life It IS a clean install... As for the error message you are getting, it can only appear if you download the incorrect version of the recovery disk. You should download the x86 version for 32-bit Windows, or the x64 version for the 64-bit Windows.

Send me a screenshot if the error persists.

  • OMG, i tried install x64 windows7and it says not compatible, what should i do now? I was using 32 bit vista and it not let the instalation to do the job, how to fix that? My pc laptop 2.2 ghz core2duo t7500 2gb ram, why is this happend, do i need to do something in bios?

  • wicked, very informative video! 5 star! Go do it now!

  • is it possible to format the drive that has the recovery partition on it? im upgrading from vista to win7 on a gateway and the recovery partition is fucking me over pretty much. and i need to find a way to get ride of it.

  • dude thanx

  • Can I do a clean install with an upgrade disc from a newly built "virgin" pc?

  • @itchyfingers89 Never tried it, so can't really say...

  • @IdeazUnIimited .....i followed ur tutorial video and instructions in windows mode.....and then i got it....and now my pc running in windows 7 home premium....thanks a lot...and more power...

  • Do i need to make a partition to install windows 7 onto?

  • @helldrag0n47 If you want to keep your previous operating system installation, then yes, you do.

  • how can you backup EVERYTHING on your drive? i want to upgrade from windows 7 home premium 32-bit to ultimate 64-bit but i don't know how do backup everything

  • @shirosaki144 Use a backup software such as Paragon Backup & Recovery or Norton Ghost

  • Im useing 15 gigas drive for vista , how much more space ill need to do this win 7 upgrade?

  • Nice Keep it up microsoft

  • I already have a recover drive on my pc (E:) how do I start it up?

  • @haloswift I recommend you don't use the recovery drive for this purpose. They are from the system manufacturers and are there incase you end up completely erasing everything and need to restore.

  • So when you choose the hard drive you want to install in. Does it wipe out any data form the other drives? All of my drives a partition so i think its gonna wipe all of my data. Im not sure i need help

  • It will only wipe data from the drive you select. But, seeing that you have only one drive, I suggest you use EASUS Partition Manager Free Edition to split it into two and copy the data you want to keep to the new drive before installing Windows.

  • you can use vista recovery disk with xp?

  • You can use only the command prompt tool in the wizard.

  • this doesn't work on x64

  • Did you try it out? If so, can you give me details of the problem that occurs so I can find a solution.

    Thanks!

  • i've just upgraded from vista to 7 ... but now i want to clean install..... like re-install the wins 7... plz tell me how to do this !!

  • I have one partition with vista, and the other with windows 7 RC. I dont have anything on the RC, can I just clean install over the RC?

  • First thing's first. In your case, DO NOT format the Vista partition (i.e. skip the formatting of the C: partition shown in the video).

Secondly, the answer to your question depends on which OS you installed first.

    1. If it was Vista, use it to format the RC partition and follow the video.

    OR

    2. If it was the RC, you'll need to use the Vista recovery disk's startup repair tool to remove the Windows 7 RC bootloader and then follow option 1.

  • So I can't just clean install over RC? There is no saved info, then when I boot up I will have vista and Windows 7

  • Exactly. No direct clean installation if you want to run the setup off your hard disk (which would be the only reason to watch this video).

    Good luck!
