I learned how to play violin without an actual teacher but Tod taught me a lot. I'm still practicing how to bow perfectly. I learned vibrato as soon as I held my first violin. Thanks maestro Tod!

I just bought my violin yesterday and I can already play 2 songs!!..i played a guitar before so remembering the notes are a bit easy and i can already read a sheet music! But your vibrato is awesome!! :D

I'm having a bit of trouble following your videos with the placement of your hand on the bow and string crossing. I think it's because of my trouble working left/right placements (something like dyslexia I assume). I DID manage to get Twinkle off but not without a ton of screeching and a sore wrist. Any suggestions for maybe a topside look at hand placements or something?

Professor, you said long open A when you actually bowed the long open D. Maybe you should annotate it and correct it as it IS the open D. Also, my current violin teacher taught me the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star starting on the A strings(thus involving the E string instead of your D and A). Is there a significant difference on that? By the way, great tutorials, I might be betraying my teacher, but I seem to be able to learn easier with you e-tutoring(but my note reading still stinks.)

I was walking by a music shop and saw a cheap violing in sale 89 bucks. I bought it on a whim,just to mess about with. I can now play 2 tunes on it and can't even read music. Thanks ProfessorV! I checked out your bow hand vids as well and they sorted out alot of my bad notes
