It actually wasn't Porygon who caused the seizures, it was actually Pikachu, but they couldn't cancel the show, so Porygon was never seen again (I think)

3 corrections :P 1. No one died during the "Porygon Shock" incident, 658 were hospitalized. 2. The flashes weren't just that 5 second scene. Every explosion in the episode was flashing instead of traditional dust. The flashes were made by a Anti-Virus software's rockets that exploded(the last set of rockets was destroyed by Pikachu, not Porygon) 3. The Whishcas episode NEVER aired. The only images we have of that episode are from the next episode preview a week before it's intended air date.
