Duke Ellington does it again, Wonderful Music that will live forever, His Music just breathes throughout even after the record is over. True Music Indeed ! Thanks !
Thank you so much for listening and enjoying the music I have to share. I will continue to post 78 records from all genres along with some history and information about them all the time if possible.
These issues were referred to Royal Blue Wax Columbias. They spanned a period from late 1932 - 1936. This record is a reissue from a 1929 master release. Fidelity is great.. Royal Blues issued when recorded, usually did not have that great fidelity, because of the medium. The Blue Shellac was thinner than the original black shellac, and they used a paper core instead of a heavy graphite core with the Black shellac issues. The sound was a little more brittle sounding. Rare & great record!!
Thank you for your added information as always Timothy! You're an endless well of knowledge for sure that helps me in my endeavor. I always appreciate your comments.
A real pleasure to hear. Thanks for posting!

@mdmphd Thank you! I love these blue Columbia's too. It's a shame the depression kept them from being very popular.

Very good recording by Duke Ellington from the period I like his recordings the most- 1920's. I can hear Wellman Braud's driving bass really good
