Show's how old the footage is having a watch manager (Station Officer) in charge of the pump haha not anymore WM's incharge of Pump Ladder's now'a day.
@jackeatley indeed mate god this is old not even my era but know alot good footage though, as i said pumps back in the days were manned by 4 fire fighters & a watch officer either station officer or sub officer white helmet 1 stripe yellow helmet 2 stripes, gotta love the hum of the old dennis though!
I would say this was in the early 90s. I'd say 92/93

Blue watch job from the early 90's. My brother was there. Nice shot of the StnO Chris Griffin, now the chief of gloucester.

As a member of the public, it looks dis-organised. I guess you guys knew what you are all doing but it looks like a mess to me.
A rundown of the procedures would be most interesting and would help me learn about your tactics. Thanks :)

On reflection, I apologise for my comments above.
You guys did a great job and it was very interesting to see you at work.
Many thanks for posting this vid :)

@train672 Each crew member has a number which defines his/her task.
#1 is officer - task to evaluate situation and take command.
#2 Driver/Pump operator - task to lay hose, connect hydrant end and engage pump (which is why he runs back to the cab for power take-off)
From left to right rear row #'s 3,4,5
Don BA sets, grab line bag, assist #2 with hose at building end, await orders from #1.
Although this looks chaotic, all worked as it should from both the first crew and arriving back-up.
