  • In the UK healthcare is free.

  • I had swine flu and sterpt and it sucked! I stayed in bed for days on end.

  • Come to Canada and we will drink beer to fend off the flu :)

Swine Flu is not that bad, I freaked out when I found out I might have H1N1 Flu the past few days. Being stuck at home is worse than the Flu.

In Canada, the H1N1 shot is provided for by Health Care Canada.

I didn't get it, but now my body is creating its own antibodies and immunity :)

Even though I feel better today, I still have to stay home so I dont infect anyone else. I feel like I have the plague! lol

  • Robert you are just... so positive!!! My prayers are with you and your beautiful wife.

  • My heart goes out to the American People that have to pay just to see a doctor. I thank God to be Canadian. I am praying that all Americans have free medical care. I can goto a doctor anytime and not have to pay just to be looked at. Here in Canada we do have to pay for medication and our tax dollars pay the doctors under the provincial medical plan. God bless

  • i just saw your video about you have recover from the swine flu. I glad to see you are doing better.

but i have to put this out, i have two children that are in school and it is odd that the children around them is getting the swine flu but not my children.

the only thing i can think of because they are vegan

and they alway drink kubucha, it is a probiotic drink that i make. I also know some vegan family told me that there children are not getting the swine flu..

  • move to canada, eh.

  • around 1100 deaths in America ... but 3000 people die of Human flu in the same area each year ... and more are getting swine flu

I think if you have to get one or the other seems your better off getting swine flu

I understand cost ... I am too poor to be healthy and some say too poor to live just depends who you ask.

  • How dreaded is it? Is it worth the hype?

  • honestly....in some ways not as bad in others worse. I don't acutally hurt anywhere. No sore throat no runny nose. But no energy after moving for a few mins. This vid put me out for a few hours. Lots of coffing (sp i know) but not discarge with it. I am very aware of every breath i take but it have no trouble breathing. Overall i don't hurt but feel very sick.

  • One way to help deal with it is to swab your nose using a Q-tip in warm salt water...it really does help, especially at the on-set of a cold or flu...and also drink regular hot water to cleanse your system...it also makes breathing a lot better.

  • get well soon

  • I'm vary sorry to hear that.

I hope you get better soon.

  • Oh dear, serious, hmm, get well soon then if so.

  • Aww... sorry to hear you're sick. Feel better soon!!!

  • Squeal like a pig, boy! Sorry....had to :p

Very sorry to hear about the swine flu. The state of health care in this country is horrid. I hope everything is going to go ok.

  • Sorry to hear that you have the swine flu. I hope you get better soon. It upsets me to know how the American healthcare system is. Just because you don't have insurance doesn't mean that you shouldn't get treatment. That's awesome that you got the prescription for only 6$. At least someone out there is looking out for people. Anyways, feel better soon.

  • Get well soon!

  • Aww Shiro. You're way too nice a person to get swine flu.

Good luck and get well soon :3 Lots of rest and relaxation, eat lots of fruit and take your medicine!

  • Hope you will be better soon Robert.

I am so happy that I have universial healthcare.. it is a human right. I almost want to cry when I sometimes hear about the american system

    All love from me Jasmine

  • Well get back to health soon :!

  • Sorry to hear about the flu thing Robert, may your recovery be a speedy one dude. As for the health care costs thing, universal healthcare is a human right, a life shouldn't be exploited for the sake of big bucks.

Over here in the UK, you'd be paying diddly squat on the NHS.

  • At Walmart I would pay less to not have insurance because I would have to pay the $15 copay, but the same script was $4. I was blessed that my ER visit was discounted for paying it in full.

  • six dollars without insurance..........hmm most people have a co-pay larger than that its cool some are offering it in this way :) Get well soon

  • I'm sorry, but it's no one's fault they get sick. I'm so glad your Dad would have backed you up, even though it only ended up costing $6. I just hope the poor politics in the medical and insurance fields come to an end. Get well soon :-)

    Love & Light,

    Jen

  • sad to hear you have the swine flu Shiro... I love canada's health care cause stuff is free and cost alot cheaper.. this whole H1N1 flu stuff is kinda iffy in my opinion.. much controversy about it being a man made virus, whats your opinion on that?

  • That really sucks! So, I am curious on where you stand with a possible government option for health care? Has this experience affected your opinion on the issue?

  • Sorry bout you being sick get well soon i have not caught the swine yet that's good but get well soon

    :)

  • Get well soon!

  • Aww, feel better soon. God Bless.

  • Dude, i hope you get better...

  • Im sorry your sick! Get well soon! At least 3 of my YT friends have had this so far. I hope this doesnt turn into a pandemic. Good health and safety to you!

  • I hope you get better Shirotora. And i do not think anyone should have to pay to get health care or go to the doctor or anything like that.

  • Hey Rob. I hope that you get better soon. Hope all is well with you and yours.

  • I the other flu that's going around.

  • well....hope you feel better...and Publix IS the best grocery store. I don't have insurance either, so I can relate. I hate it when I choose to get sick...why do I do that? The cost of insurance is ridiculous, and then you have to fight with them over coverage if you need it. I only ever have insurance if I'm working for a company that offers a plan...on my own it's just not a viable option.

  • Yay for Publix. As for the money crunch, I hear ya. The economy sucks. It's nice to hear of a company that is willing to do something to help the community. I'll pray to Hermes for a fast recovery. Get well soon!

  • ROFLMAO! w00t! Not that I'm happy you are sick and don't have insurence. Actually, I'm very sorry about that. *hugs* My mom and I got a big kick in the teeth when the price of our insurence was raised. I'm just laughing at your sheer attitude about all this. And w00t for Publix!

I am not a fan of Obamacare, BUT we do need health care payment reform. Insurence companies are aweful.
