Being a Bruins fan I have watched lots of this stuff. Neely was as tough as they come. And so was Corson, Both great players and both very tough this fight if it had gone would have been a rough one and probably a draw. For the most part both guys played a clean tough game all the time.

The only time they fought was when Neely was hit with an Al Pedersen shot in the eye and got 12 stitches and Corson went out and jumped Cam. They traded evenly and the fight was a draw. Habs fans think Corson won because Cam was bleeding...yet Joey Kocur was asked about the 2 fighters and called Corson "a spot picker" and Neely "someone who will fight ANYONE, in the league"
Really? Take a look at the cards...Corson fought anyone, such as Ray, May, Churla, Cairns, Purinton, Domi, Tocchet, Donnelly, Kocur etc. Spot picker? Yeah, showing your knowledge there lil buddy. Neely has fought whom? I recall him running from Todd Ewen..so when a hw comes calling, Neely flees.
I guess you don't follow hockey, Mark! Neely fough Nilan, Tocchet, Kocur, Carkner, McCrae, Clark, Semenko, Ruff, McGill, Tiger Williams, Brashear, Baumgartner...the list goes on! Ewen went after Neely Cam had a broken nose, as Cam had in this altercation with Corson! If you knew anything about hockey, you'd know that Neely didn't wear a visor because it screwed up his vision! The only times he wore it was when he had a broken nose, 3 times in his career! Neely=hall of famer! Enough said!
Take a look at Corson's list you scab....Kocur, Tocchet, Berube, Byers, May, Rob Ray, Domi (3 times), Roberts, Vandermeer, etc....and he fought Neely when he was 19...give him some credit...and stitches or not Corson won that fight...deal with it...Neely lost that one.
By the way Mark, it was Joey Kocur that called Corson a "spot picker." A spot picker doesn't necessarily avoid fighters...he waits until they are at the end of a long shift, or if they are hurt, to challenge them! Kocur pummeled Corson, even at the end of a long shift. Shayne went after Cam with fresh stitches once, and a broken nose the other time...yet never went after him cleanly. He kicked Cairnes after getting PUMMELED, & wasn't respected by NHL players because he was a spot picker!
