  • this was my favorite song in sonic 3 as a kid and i still like it now h

  • @Mahzinemm Im not suprised that they are awesome because michael jackson made them he is a awesome song writer

  • Ahh finally got that bass speaker to work. AWESOME!

  • This song a bit remind me Aqua.

  • SMOOTH CRIMINAL!!!

  • Michael Jackson WIN

  • I could listen to this all day

  • The most difficult, Sonic CD hands down. I have yet to beat it without using Debug mode! The 1st one is the easiest, then Sonic 3 and Knuckles, then Sonic 2. Sonic 3 was easy, once I got pass the stupid barrel of death!

  • response to BlackEcho24: stop scaring me! i haven't even passed marble garden. i know i suck so much at the game but i still love it!(don't have a chaos emerald:P)

  • If you've ever played Sonic CD, then you KNOW what hard is. 1 is hardest, 2 is a good balance of hard and fun, 3 is the coolest.

    Wacky Workbench KILLSSSSSSS

  • That level made me sick... literally.

  • @Macedragon37 I found 2 the easiest, I just finished Sonic 1 today. Damn labyrinth zone.

  • @ZoomZoneMedia I can do labyrinth zone without no problem

  • This my absolute favorite Sonic music with my favorite level in this game. Ice Cap Zone FTW

  • I never played sonic 3, was it better than 1 and 2???

  • Yes.

  • by miles

  • yeah

    but too bad easyer

  • i litte easyer too

  • Sonic 3 was kinda easier than the first two... Sonic 1 was by far the hardest >_> (stupid scrap brain zone)

  • I think 2 was a LOT harder than 1 but 3 was the best

  • ohgod...the scrap brain zone....

  • Human beings are so weird. This game is by far the hardest to me.. Sonic 1 is super easy to me. The hardest stage was Labyrinth, because of its boss. The rest was kinda.. easy. :P Jesus!

  • oh the part where you had to climb up while killing him... yeah that was just annoying. XD

  • I discovered something years later.

You don't have to kill him.. he'll piss off sometime anyway >__>

  • yeh that level caused me to have nightmares when i first played it back in 1994. i hated that level

  • lool, sonic looks kinda fat in the picture :P

  • lol, yeah! for some reason the American box art of sonic makes him look more fat than the Japanese or European sonic! o.O

Oh well, he's still kick ass! XD

  • Well, obesity is a big problem here in America. That might be the reason Sonic looked slightly fatter lol! But hell yeah, kick ass one way or the other!

  • So that's the reason they made him look Skinnier and gave him new sneakers in Sonic adventure!

  • Old sonic is old

  • lol micheal jackson had something to do with this song, thats why sega took it off in sonic and knuckles like some other songs

  • i think im right in saying that michael jackson did most, if not all of the music in sonic 3 (?)

  • Seems pretty obvious in Launch Base Zone.

  • wasnt umm ice cap in sonic dx

  • Yes, it was in Sonic Adventure. This is the earlier incarnation of the stage in Sonic 3, which was released in.. 1994 if I remember correctly.

  • Yeah.

  • This was the original Ice Cap Zone. The one in DX was a 3D version of it to tie into the Sonic Adventure story..

  • 3:28 MEOW

  • hey true sonic did u do a music one about cemical plant i like that one too

  • i think we can all agree that anybody whos played carnival has gone through the many minutes, days, months, years and even the times of getting our big brothers, of enduring the frustration of learning 2 press up & down 2 get through that annoying ass puzzle.

  • .........no, not me.....

  • haha i was really stuck in that lvl, until a friend told me that i had to press up and down, i had tryed that before he told me that, but it never worked

  • Comment removed

  • does anybody know were i can get the soundtrack for any sonic game

  • It actually took me years to complete carnival 2, because yeah, I never realized you had to press up and down, and not just jump on it :'-(

  • omg same here dude!!!!!

  • this was a reply to Tavion2 , youtube repply thing seems to be gliching more often

  • me 2 it took from i was 4 to age 14 to beat it on my own i knew how 2 do it but for sum reason i couldn't get it. it still takes awhile but i can get past it now

  • To do the cylinder puzzle in carnival 2, I used to just jump up and down enough to make it move, but when I landed I would press down to accentuate the landing (I was 7 damnit). It always barely worked after getting the timing for at least five whole minutes. Never occured to me to press up, since there has never been a sonic game then where you pressed up to move up. You just jumped. That puzzle failed.

  • Like a different rhythm example of this kind of songs alike:

    Ice Cap Zone act 1

    Ice Cap Zone Act 2

    Aqua - Doctor Jones

    Aqua - Lollipop (Candyman)

    Aqua - Roses Are Red

    Michael Jackson - ???

and more song alike European, and Asian Style

  • lmao u gotta push up and down to get past that one annyoing ass part in the carnival zone.

  • unfortunately that makes you jump when using an emulator :`(

  • you not alone man your not alone....

  • I always had to skip the carnival level to get to here because I got stuck on the part where you had to make the cylinder go down

  • The method of passing Carnival Night Zone Act 2 is to push the up and down buttons constantly until the cylinder's amplitude is large enough to let sonic escape. Alas, it took me 10 years to learn that trick.

  • >>lightyoshiman

"where you had to make the cylinder go down"

He said he knew how to do it. 10 years?! Man, you must be dumb.

I always had trouble getting past that point as well; The most frustrating part was running out of time just after you had cleared it.

  • Uh, Why are you insulting me?

  • sonic hands down has the GREATEST music of any game, movie or tv franchise

  • amen! couldn't have said it better myself

  • @TheWorstComputerEver no ill say donkey kong country is up there with sonic music also

  • @TheWorstComputerEver dont forget vectorman, kirby, f-zero.

  • This on is my favorite,

  • I really love the music in Act 2 it much better than the 1st act

  • games like this are what made the 1990s the 1990s

  • Awesome song, I don't care who wrote it.

  • sonic 3 has one best soundtracks

  • ya know the "Wooah!" in the song is michael jackson

  • This song is cool ^_^ (two meanings =D)

  • lol :D

  • i remember reading aqua used this song to make candyman. haha tight

  • Not only that, but there was a part from Roses are Red that also relates with this music.

  • This song must actually in Brawl and not Scrap Brain Zone.

  • Masterpiece music for an Masterpiece game.

  • If you slow down this song and play it at the same time as "Who Is It" by Michel Jackson it fits together perfectly. Look it up, it's kinda creepy.

  • That's because Micheal Jackson wrote the music for this game, though SEGA didn't really make it known.

  • It sounds similar to Aqua's "Candyman/Lollipop" song.

  • No, not Lollipop (Candyman), Roses are Red.

  • Someone gave you a bad comment as to what I replied to you about. One part of these songs was when she said "Oh, my love." That's what you meant. But I was also right when I replied to you about Aqua's Roses Are Red. Therefore, I made a mistake. We were both right.

  • Yeah i know.

But i don't believe in the tails doll curse.

    I actully like tails doll.

  • This are my favorite songs:

'Can you feel the sunshine' >> Sonic R

'Live and Learn' >> Sonic adventure 2

    'Ice cap' >> Sonic 3

  • Can you feel the sunshine is Tails Doll Theme? )=

  • Which Ice Cap? Act 1, 2, or both? I like Super Sonic Racing from Sonic R.

  • Magical.

  • I remember this stage, it was always one of my favorite stages too.

  • yeah, the snowboard entrence was tight an really made that 32 bit seem 'extreme' ((90's talk))

  • I uploaded all Sonic 3 and Knuckles - Project Chaos remixes. Please Comment and Rate :)

  • Nice music, i love the IceCap stage ;')

    I agree with Angelojudgement88.

Im getting pretty sick of Brawl now..

  • its just another action fighter its nothing new. i agree with both of you.

  • It think brawl is a great game though I'm a tad disappointed with Sonic. Super Sonic is A pUrE cHaOs Of BeInG hAtReD though. =P And of course the ice cap theme is some of the best sonic music ever.

  • i know, i used to get to the level and just leave the controller and wait for sonic to die on a time up!! lol

  • makes me feel cold

  • yet another masterpiece, fits the ''ice'' and snow themed level as well...

  • ha ha ok smartass you got me.

  • I wish this was Sonic's Stage song for Brawl...that reminds me, they pushed the release date to March 9th! NO!!! Oh well, more time to savour the anticipation...

  • i wish people would stop talking about brawl all the time. its starting to get annoying to the point that i wont want to buy it cuz you cant read people's opinions about something without seeing something about brawl.

  • what if someone added lyircs to this song?

    how cool would that be?

  • but what would they say?

  • YOU GOT ME THERE!

  • BEACUSE I DONT KNOW

  • I always liked this song! It sounded...Dire....Like "Your almost there! Hurry up, not much time!" You know?

    Here is some random info....

If you spead up the Michael jackson song "who is it" It sounds very familiar, also it sounds like "smoothe criminal", another michael Jackson song. It's no surprise for it is supposed that Michael Jackson was taking part in composing songs for the third installment. But he didn't get any credit because of the child molestation allegations.

  • this is going on my next tricking video

  • I had a dream of gettin the Sonic 3 OST just to get my hands on this gem...OMFG Thx much for letting me take a trip back in time *drools*.

  • Awesome! i wish mine still did though

  • SONIC BABY ILUV THIS SONG ,

makes me wana reminisce all day thanks dawg luv it.

  • Love this song! good ol memories~ god were getting old. lol Sonic looks like he has a pot belly! xD

  • Well, whaddya know? I doo too! The Genesis rocks!!!

  • All I can say is: "Fuck. Yes."

  • i would play this zone over and over again just for the music.

  • Ditto ditto and one more time DITTO!!!! XD XD

  • Totally

  • Brings back sooooooooooooooooooooooo many memories! Sega Genesis why did you have to leave me? :(

  • can you put some sonic cd music on

    thanks

  • i loved the first part of this stage when sonic was snowboarding down the hill

  • Now THIS is TECHNO!! Eat this Eurotrash!!! MWuahahahahaahhahahahaha!!!!!

  • dude! :) lol!

  • Thank you!

  • That brings back so many memories

  • Gotta love the original

  • I remember hearing back when I was a kid that the Sonic music was help made by Michael Jackson. After hearing the music again I'm pretty sure this is true.

  • Nice to hear the original after so many remixs

  • *dances*

  • great song remember memories

  • Also, Supercruiser, we couldn't care less whether you want to know the truth or not. Really, if you wanna keep ignorant, that's up to you.

  • Because after MJ's scandals went loose on mid 90s, SEGA decided to remove his songs from the game

  • what about the end credits mix

  • These 2 songs are from both acts of the IceCap Zone. Acts 1 and 2. This zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is my favorite zone of them all.

  • This and Flying Battery were my favourites on 3

  • Flying Battery wasn't on Sonic 3, unless locked on with Sonic & Knuckles.

  • Was Carnival Night Act 2 hard, except for Knuckles?

  • not rlly

  • There was one part where i got stuck, I think it was with the cylinder thing, I never knew to push up and down to make it move lol.

  • when i was a kid i wasted about 7 lives till i found it out, the time would always reach to an end

  • Sounds almost like Sonic the hedgehog white acropolis!

  • sonic 3 game producers worked with Michael and used some of his music to make this music and so much more in sonic 3 - amazing job!!!!

  • it's composed by MJ but it doesn't matter

  • Try watching the credits, next time you might actually say something correct.

  • When I play in the Ice Cap zone, the music is different because I have the Sonic & Knuckles Collection.

  • specialsonic I have the PC music, for ice cap, carnival night and launch base check it out

  • u should get ice cap zone remix its better if u ask me

  • There are so many different remixes for Ice Cap Zone so most people wouldn't know which particular one your talking about. But I've heard some pretty damn good remixes of Ice Cap.

  • music done by Michael Jackson actually

    search for it in youtube

  • Yeah I finally realize why the Sonic 3 credits sounded so different than the other songs but still amazing.

  • True that, Sonic3 ending song is actually Stranger in Moscow.

Ice Cap Zone and Carnival Night are also based on other Michael Jackson's works

  • hahaha i was hella weak when i found out!! dont matter to me, tho, cuz i like most of the tracks from this game...

  • music is more than people getting together in a room, it is a global business HENCE there are people in the business all over the world from all walks of life speaking all different languages. That's why there is such a strong bond between Sony in Japan and the USA when it comes to technology distribution; america ALWAYS get it before anywhere else, except japan of course. take hd tvs, ps3, new mobile phones, for example. it is easier than u think for mj to have gone to japan u donut

  • Also, how do you know he even HAD to go to japan to do this, how do you know he didn't have to simply go to LA to Sega of America's office. Just because a game is made mostly in japan doesn't mean it has to be made exclusively over there. Their Japan and USA offices are pretty well linked, so i wouldn't be suprised if SoA actually works a little bit on their games.. Also, MJ doesn't just preform and sing, he actually writes and composes some of his own music with a few helping hands.

  • The SoA office is in San Francisco.

  • Oh it is?

Well, i figured it'd be in Burbank considering that's where howard drossin(one of the composers in sonic 3) is located.

  • Sweet!!! That just leaves 2 of my requests:

    1. Sonic 3 megamix from sonic gems collection

    2. Sonic 6290 mix from sonic gems collection.

  • Hello! Will you please fill a request for me? I really want Lava Reef Zone Act One music from Sonic and Knuckles. Thanks so much!

  • I have music request:

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Sega Genesis): Normal Boss theme, and Final boss theme

  • allrigt ice cap rocks
