Compare say FFIX's story with FFVIII's and they are completely different. Or compare FFX's story with FFXII's. I mean, thematically, every FF is considerably different.
Thematically, it's almost always a small band of heroes (usually containing at least one member of royalty) against a large empire, religious organization, etc. FF8 was a refreshing change of pace because even though you were being hunted/pursued by a large force for much of the game, you still had a sizable group of people on your team that were more or less on equal footing with the enemy as far as quality of weapons/troops.
Tidus/Zidane are the fastest characters in final fantasy history... and Squall is on par with Sephiroth (as per what square has shown us, so dont bitch at me about this) so ya, I hope that squall beats him up to.

Agreed... FFVII should be the basis of the VII fans... however the majority of VII fans haven't played the original game, only watched the movie, played KH and the spinoffs...

yea..i wouldn't have such a hard time admiting i loved 7 if it wasnt for the horde of people who played KH and saw the movie...and decided that FF is Cloud vs Seph....and thats all there is to know....ignorance is not bliss...not at all... still i hope they will give cloud ihis blue/purple Soldier Outfit... its much more memorable imo, and amano influence has been treating all the chars nicly so i look forward to Clouds appearence... Cecil and his cane is a bit of a bummer...

She was an Ancient, she could speak to the planet and tell it was was happening. All she did was speak to the planet, she didn't cast holy at all, it fell into the water when she died..

Have you see Micheal in Godfather II? He was completely insane and dangerous. He shot his own brother, yell his wife, and other stuff.
I just mention the two because they two top villians in movie history(I'm movie lover).
If Kefka have a reason to kill, I might be afraid but I see other villians before like Kefka. I'm not that afraid him, even he did horrible things.

lol, he wasn't completely insane, and he didn't shoot his brother he ordered it though after he betrayed him. It shows that he's greedy and power hungry, not insane. Scarface... he was insane.
Darth Vader and Micheal the top two villians in movie history? You need to be introduced to Dr. Hannibal Lector.
Of course, you can't be scared of fictonal characters because they're not real. But to be scared of Vader and Micheal and not Kefka is a bit strange.

I can see your point that's a bit strange to you. I watched Disney movies and other fictional shows or movies(mostly anime). Yeah, I was afraid while I was young.

lmfao... did you not see the ending of the game...?... they had to kill him... but they were too late...thats why holy didn activate in time and the Lifestream had to save the day... w/e..i shouldn thave to tell uthis... go read a gamefaq, or FFwiki...even wikipedia has it wriiten so... and its in the basic plot ..play through it again... they didn want to kill him for the sake of killing him... i mean yea that was important too, but like i said...

because since there is so many games in FF history they had to choose one character from each game for the line up. Sepiroth was chosen. Square Enix may put cloud as a bonus character.

Untrue, Cloud states that Aeris has already prayed for Holy and that Sephiroth is what's stopping it from activating.

Actually, the planet was being held back by the fact that Sephiroth was sitting in it like a parasite...a stated in Final Fantasy 7.

She might not have known how it was going to work, but she knew that it did. In the game, Cloud says that she had already prayed for Holy but that something was holding it back, meaning that she did successfully use the materia.

No the silouhettes seen at 4:38 are the bosses from 1 to 10, from the beginning, u can easily spot out jecht and kuja at the end, and do i see Golbez at 4th? btw its coming out at december 18 at japan, most probably sumemr 2009 for us excellent
